That explains why people keep coming over for chicken nuggets
@Stardust:
"Why didn't you mention it in your first post of the game?"
Um, I did? I asked Manders, specifically, why she was voting Kaze because I'm more familiar with her (and Yanni, but he hadn't posted until now) than anyone else in this game and expected her to give me a complete answer because I didn't understand the wagon on Kaze. Additionally, I was more focused on lynching zombad.
"So, at 75%, would you say it's worthwhile lynching people who do this regardless of other evidence? Aside from that, he's got noob town written all over him. Considering I've seen tactics like this fail twice and never work, I'm inclined to believe the other evidence in this case."
Oh right, forgot that time with Teia. Well, tell me, what about zombad do you think is so town, exactly?
"Yes, you did say you hadn't seen anything anti-town, then went on to defend his frustration. Do you believe Kaze is town?"
I wouldn't be white knighting Kaze if I didn't think he was town.
"What about this post specifically. You believe Kaze when he says it was meant to be a trap?"
No, actually, I think that was a line of crock that he came up with because he felt pressured. The "<3" was clearly forced but he's obviously trying to keep a cool there. Kaze said he played once before, and it was as scum, right? So as someone who saw Teia's transition from "first game scum" to "second game town" and had absolutely no concept of how to play the game as town afterwards, do you not see similarities here?
"Disagree. That was
completely unnecessary. Feels more like you're working on solidifying yourself as a power role than working towards a townie goal here.
I suppose I should explain for everyone else that Iso as scum has never claimed vanilla. If he claims vanilla, he's town. As scum, he needs to set himself up to claim a power role. That's what I think he's doing here since there is no town motivation for coming out otherwise."
As I said, you'll see.
"I would have kept my mouth shut if I actually believed he was a town PR. There's good reason to bring attention to it.
I won't ask you for your take on his townie motivation, but I can't see it."
That's because you don't know my role.
"It's the only real reasoning he's given for pointing at rezombad (which I read as a deflection). I checked after my last post on the subject. Of the seven games I've been directly involved in
five of those had someone random voting, self-voting, voting for everyone or explicitly voting for noone in RVS. All five of those people caught flak for it and all five of them were town. "Known", yes, but unreliable."
Deflecting from what, exactly? There's absolutely no pressure on me.
"... I was going to decline, but for the sake of the newbies I'll spell this one out. Basically, Iso as scum is breadcrumbing a fake claim that he's brewing. His scum buddy Kaze pressures him to give more detail. Very unlikely scenario. That alone points to at least one of you being town."
Guess we'll see what happens, eh? :3
"Iso is scum for breadcrumbing when town has no business doing so."
Again, you don't know my role. Bite me.
-
@Manders:
"Why are you bringing attention to it? You should know better than that."
"I
still believe a wagon on him D1 is pointless. He won't be lynched."
-
@Nuwen:
Is there a reason you didn't address my statement(s) directed towards you until later?
-
@Kaze: I would appreciate it if you didn't speculate on my role out loud, thanks. That said, if you legitimately think I'm scum, how does that parse with your thought that I might be able to control the lynch?
"Implying you have an idea of scum pushing my wagon, but you won't divulge that information right now, even though it could get us on the right track for a day 1 scum lynch? Why?"
Gee, I dunno. Maybe because I was going to bed shortly afterwards and have been really busy with trying to get a job lately? No, that couldn't be it.
"Iso, do you believe Nuwen's terse movements are a result of scumminess or just playstyle difference?"
Nuwen gives me the impression
that she believes what she's saying but I'll reserve judgment on that for later, when I have some wagons to analyze.
"So Iso is scum for claiming to not be vanilla...?"
Where did I claim to be not vanilla? Why do you keep fishing for my role after I told you I'm not going to give any more information for the time being?
-
@Yanni:
"OBLIGITORY VOTE ISO BECAUSE MY BONER IS SO BIG"
<3
Also you unvoted and revoted Kaze like 4 times in your post, what's up?
-
@Col. Khaddafi:
"And scum can sometimes willingfully murder vanillas to throw off people so it doesn't means much."
Last time I was Vanilla in a completed game was (IIRC) Mod Mafia 6 and I caught the entire scumteam on Day 1. I was the Night 1 kill despite the fact that I claimed Vanilla and that Teia claimed Doc.
Then I must be blind![/"Pretty much no one"? Several people on his wagon have explained their vote on him.
I haven't seen Kaze do anything anti-town. Well, except his most recent "noob bandwagon" comment - it seems a little forced in phrasing, but I think it's justified, given that pretty much no one has explained their votes on him.
quote]
Friend, don't handwave my comment like that. Kaze's heat is real and for you discredit it as lacking explanations flies directly in the face of what I'd expect from a mafia veteran, unless you had a reason to try and minimize the attention on Kaze.
To answer your first question, I've never seen a random vote generator vote lead to a straight forward lynch let alone any lynch (I've played ~10 games and know the law quite well). To answer your second question, Suga's vote was very opportunistic at that stage of the game since many players had yet to post. It's like he wanted to get on a wagon with the least amount of effort. How is it not "fairly-straight forward"? What does the inactivity of other players have to do with whether he is scum or not?Let's all just hold our horses for a gosh darned minute! The day has barely started, a number of the folks have yet to post, and you call this "vote: rezombad
Seems fairly straight-forward today.

I get scared when I'm alone. I could drop the soap and call out for help and nobody would find me until my booty was irrevocably harmed! But also I can't read someone if they post absolutely nothing. And that's almost as bad as dropping the soap! I refuse to drop the town's soap! Why are you so concerned about this?Three players still have yet to post. I
want to meet all of my neighbors before the day ends!
He’s a veteran so for him to show up and claim to not understand Kaze’s wagon felt disingenuous. In his first major post he didn’t even touch upon the 6-vote wagon at the time. He tried to ignore it, but when pressed, chose to then dismiss it. What do you make of that? While I agree it's odd for him to claim he doesn't understand the wagon, I don't think it warrants a vote. Why do you?Whoa there, you're a mafia veteran and you can't understand why there's a wagon on Kaze? I mean not voting him is one thing but to not even claim to understand why he's getting votedI don't understand the case on Kaze and zombad is scum.
after his rolefishing comment?
unvote
vote Iso
Why would you agree to something if you don'tBecause I don't know what will be accomplished by claiming names. Why the question mark?
know what it will accomplish?
Iso’s mud-slinging comment was in his second post of the game, post #66.What mud-slinging?Diarrhea of the mouth? Or was it the subtle mudslinging?I see it, too.Vote: Kaze
too easy?
Vote: Kazekirimaru
Who can tell me why I voted for him?
Iso says that his mud-slinging comment was about the rolefishing remark Kaze made. Keep in mind that Kaze’s wagon really took off due to the rolefishing remark.@Manders: The mudslinging was referring to the rolefishing comment.
Iso’s comment in post #144 reveals that he did understand the scumminess of the rolefishing remark (in his own words, that’s what his post #66 mud-slinging comment was about!). So why would he claim to not understand the case on Kaze in post #77?
I don't understand the case on Kaze and zombad is scum.
Whatever Iso's breadcrumbing there was no need for him to breadcrumb it when he did so I'm inclined to agree. @Stardust - how many games have you played with Iso?If he claims vanilla, he's town. As scum, he needs to set himself up to claim a power role. That's what I think he's doing here since there is no town motivation for coming out otherwise.
I hate, perhaps too strong a word from a guy like me, when people say that day 1 wagons on experienced players are pointless. They're not pointlessI still believe a wagon on him D1 is pointless. He won't be lynched.
For someone who continues to assert that he's town, I've seen nothing townie coming from you at all.If I had to bet money, Kaze and Manders are both scum. G_R, Nuwen and I are the obvious townies at this point.
I responded about this at length to Manders. Overlap, as you said.He never did respond to you directly. This is the post that lead to1. Okay.1) I don't believe you.
2) Why didn't you vote for imopen2 in your previous post when you accused him of rolefishing?
2. Because I was waiting for his response to my accusations at the time.
you vote him. What did you learn from this?
Are you asking me if I believe Nuwen's post was town or scum motivated? Because I believe it to be the former. But she was such an enigmatic player towards the beginning I held her as null until she started opening up analytically.Mainly because it's a question I feel you should have been asking yourself. It was directly related to yourBecause it didn't affect my scumread on her. Why would it?Continuing with the wall... Why did you ignore Nuwen's issues with Iso's handling of your wagon? Does that help with your null read here at all? Speaking of which, what is your read on Iso (and why)?
wagon and, in my opinion, was a very informative post - probably the most informative post on the topic of Nuwen's alignment. You say that you think Iso may be scum. Since you "know" you're town, why did Nuwen post that?
Мы, темнотеwho the fuck is kpaca?
Okay, cool. Can you elaborate a bit? What exactly is town motivated about it? What was she thinking at the time? Are you asking me if I believe Nuwen's post was town or scum motivated? Because I believe it to be the former. But she was such an enigmatic player towards the beginning I held her as null until she started opening up analytically.
2 full games plus one that got abandoned end of a long Day 1.@Stardust - how many games have you played with Iso?
Stop with the role speculation.I believe DroppinSuga has a role that enacts when he is targeted at night, so he is eager to bring the night and get targeted.
Kaze."You guys are sufficiently separated at this point as far as I'm concerned."
Manders and myself or Kaze and myself?
Why would you do that? But I'll defer to your judgment.
Now that this has passed, are you still planning on doing this, imopen? There are some things I don't like about your analysis of the other players on your wagon but I will let them respond to you first before I point out all the flaws in your rundown for them.
Yea ill have to look at his post again. Vote Col. Khaddafi.I don't think anything about G_R and imopen, but the DroppingSuga request for a nolynch at the end of day one doesn't sit well with me. Not that it automatically means he is scum, but usually you always lynch someone otherwise it sets you back as town so...
On a more positive note this day one is picking up, glad we're done quickly with the RVS
So I just read his post through a few times and I can not figure out what I was upset about other than the portion about me.Yea ill have to look at his post again. Now that this has passed, are you still planning on doing this, imopen? There are some things I don't like about your analysis of the other players on your wagon but I will let them respond to you first before I point out all the flaws in your rundown for them.

This doesn't make sense to me...why would the meta result in no day one lynch? Can someone explain why that would happen in any mafia meta?UnvoteIf I had to bet money, Kaze and Manders are both scum. your vote to me for the remainder of the day.
Proxy vote to Nuwen
To answer earlier questions: I've never played in a game that doesn't have a set time limit for each phase. The way we played at HCR is that each day phase was either 24 or 48 hours. That's what caused my confusion. Our meta also didn't include many day one lynches. Let me get used to the meta here and I won't come off as such a scummy bastard.
evidence? or are you just throwing something out to see if it sticks?I haven't read the last 8-10 posts yet but does anyone else find it weird that yanni, suga, and spambolic all just posted within 10 mins of each other with a lot to say? I have been known to get a bit paranoid when I smoke that nigga weed but this seems like a meeting of the minds to me
whatOkay. DroppinSuga has been acting weird lately.
He's asserted his towniness on a couple occasions, he's happily provided votes with no explanation, he's being very tight-lipped and mysterious. And I believe this is a ruse.
DroppinSuga is purposely acting scummy. Not scummy enough to get lynched, but get perhaps get night targeted? Notice how eager he is to end the day without a lynch. An experienced player - as he has professed to be - wouldn't attempt such a thing as a day one No Lynch in anything but MyLo. Any player worth their salt would know that you need a flip to work off of. I believe DroppinSuga has a role that enacts when he is targeted at night, so he is eager to bring the night and get targeted.
Be fucking weary, people.
The whole "when is day 1 ending even tho ive barely contributed ok now im going to vote to end day 1" thing that suga just pulled. What recent events are you referring to here?In light of recent events I will
unvote and strongly consider voting suga tonight when I get home
I guess my evidence would be the time stamps on their posts...?
