Hmmm, the boros champ seems interesting. Can he be good or two slow?

I don't think he'll really be viable until we get rid of
Fiend Hunter. Maybe I'm wrong, but even with indestructible swinging with a 7/7 french vanilla is not impressing me.
New card up as well.

That's what I was thinking, just too slow to be useful right now. Also playing against someone using possiblity storm might make you have to choke a ho

The Simic card is alright. Maybe good in some Prime Speaker Zegana EDH deck? Perhaps mediocre even there.
The Boros legend is bad. I've long maintained that they could print a vanilla 20/20 for 5 mana and it wouldn't see play (unless Fling was legal and even then in fringe FNM decks).
I didn't read the red rare since it looked like one of those crap-o "chaos effect" rares that does something random and pointless.

Someone smarter than me can mention if the red card with a book for text can set up some sort of combo but it looks like a jank bulk rare.

Possibility Storm looks like it's destined to go the way of
Search the City and countless other causal junk rares before it.
That said, exiling a
Favorable Winds or something and possibly getting to play an
Omniscience for free intrigues me.

Fiend Hunter doesn't see any play, you fiend. Stop pretending you play Magic!

I would play the Boros guild champ for its ability to couple with Cavern of Souls and dodge Supreme Verdict in Humans, but even then Human's nut draw is better than that interaction, so it may not be worth it even then.
It looks very boring, straight-forward, and possibly not good enough to see play as a vanilla 2/2 that can at some point be a vanilla 7/7 that just happens to be unkillable but for Devour Flesh and similar sac effects and whatever -x/-x effects.

Possibility Storm has me intrigued. It could be interesting used against Control decks since it triggers on any spell being cast. It could certainly screw up counterspells or draw spells.

Possibility Storm sets up the interaction of casting Think Twice to draw into a Wrath as casting Think Twice to Possibility Storm into Wrath.
Obviously the effect is much more random in a control deck than in an aggro deck, but do you really want to roll the dice on whether your Experiment One is actually a Ghor-Clan Rampager or a Burning Tree Emissary with no follow-up battling against Think Twice is Wrath, a Planeswalker, or a null Sphinx's Revelation?
Definitely jank, though I can understand that a class of player exists that just wants to see the top of each player's deck burn.

Shocked to see this card printed in a format with Restoration Angel around, but alas, here it is.
I'm pretty psyched. I really want to play this card with Acidic Slime, but I'm probably also a scumbag.

Not very impressed by the mythics in this set. Boros is also not especially known for ETB effects, unless this card is meant to give all-in decks an answer to Terminus/Supreme Verdict (you know, all those Boros decks that don't operate on a curve and don't need to tap out into turn 3/4, those Boros decks). The awkwardness of the Anthem effect is also a little off-putting, as it doesn't really benefit the constructed-viable Boros cards in the same way recent Anthems would have. Except for Assemble the Legion, which this card only half works with.

My only complaint is that you HAVE to exile ALL creatures, so it makes things like Stromkirk Noble worse.

But it does work with Champion of the Parish and Experiment One.
It's a really extraneous card but for the awkward Anthem effect. It duplicates at the cost of a whole card the effect of learning tight play in an aggressive deck via knowing when to overcommit and when to hold back in the face of them "having the Wrath," and is only marginally more aggressive (your creatures don't die to the Wrath, assuming you have the mana up to activate the Exile effect at all times) than developing the skill without the benefit of the card as a safety net.
If a deck similar to the Naya Blitz that is as aggressive and nut-draw-powered remains after rotation, or even as a safety net in Naya Blitz, I can see this card taking up a/some sideboard slots because those decks never want to stop (though when those decks are going to be able to dedicate an entire turn to tapping 2 and leaving an additional 2 mana open is beyond me),
because the Exile effect not only saves your creatures from Wrath but keeps topdeck Champions and Experiments live. Other than that, I can't see this card as a whole card.

If those decks want that, they'll play Boros Charm instead and not advertize their wrath immunity, is my guess.

Didn't Aurelia's Fury end up tanking in price?
Boros mythics be suckin!

Aurelia's Fury doesn't draw refill your life and hand or kill your opponent and take away their hand, so it doesn't see much play

This looks gorgeous to me. A little pump here, a little ETB shenanigans there, a little "fuck your boardwipe" here as well. For two mana, it's not bad.

give us a two mana Mythic Simic card!

What if all the clans get a two-mana Mythic utility card?
Woot.

I just saw that there is a horrible Gruul hydra at mythic.
Maybe Wizards remembered when Protean Hydra was mythic and a 30$ rare? Oh wait...

MTG set tokenism. Every block needs:
1. A bad Clone variant
2. A mythic dragon for those people who just collect dragons
3. Dual lands
4. A bad hydra
5. At least one unplayable red chaos effect rare
ill probably add to the list over time

Define "bad" Clone variant. 3U Clone is seeing successful constructed play, as is Evil Twin (last block's "bad" Clone variant), and Phyrexian Metamorph and Phantasmal Image have seen multi-format Constructed success.
I raise this because this block's clone variant is in the same block and colors as Master Biomancer in a Standard with Cavern of Souls. It's very "cute" but so is 3U for Clone.

Clone isn't bad. It just isn't as good as Phyrexian Metamorph, Phantasmal Image, etc. But then again, those cards were staples during their time in Standard and still see a little bit of play in Modern as well.

Possibility storm and Curse of exhaustion
Make some kind of lock that a proper deck could take advantage of. Dega control, or U/W/R...
or so it's been said.

You've dedicated a lot of slots to do nothing cards for that 9-mana, color-intensive combo, but I think this set is designed for maximum Johnny and EDH appeal, so anything worth doing is worth trying at least once.
