Selesnya Stompy
Senior Stompy was one of the first competitive decks I played, and I think - with the new wurm spoiled - it probably still has legs:
[deck]Creatures: 29
4 Dryad Militant
4 Experiment One
4 Gyre Sage
4 Loxodon Smiter
3 Silverblade Paladin
3 Restoration Angel
4 Advent of the Wurm
3 Wolfir Silverheart
Spells: 8
4 Rancor
4 Selesnya Charm
Lands: 23
4 Temple Garden
4 Sunpetal Grove
3 Selesnya Guildgate
7 Forest
5 Plains[/deck]
No populate shenanigans, but I don't really think they're needed anyway.
Also no SB, but GW has some of the better options in the format, so I don't think it'll be too hard to come up with something.
So what we thinking?
or ?

I still think that Wurm is just cruel.
I like it, but I'm confused as to what Restoration Angel is doing out in here. Flying beater? Soulbond resetter? Or is she just too awesome to leave out?

Flash + Soulbond shenanigans + it and a large creature can put 2 +1/+1 counters on the Evolve dudes... basically it's a few combat tricks attached to a pretty good body.

Those slots could easily be used for Increasing Savagery, though.

If you're running Resto Angel I see no reason why Wolfir Silverheart shouldn't be Thragtusk instead.

Because I care more about having 12 power hit the table on turn 5 (4 of it basically Haste) than I do about gaining 5 life - despite Thrag's superior interaction.
It is a SB option, though.

It did.
I'm not sure it fits the "theme" of the deck, but I'd probably try to squeeze it in anyway just to be a solid little hatebear.

My question would be whether Advent of the Wurm and Voice of Resurgence are good enough to push this type of deck over the edge. A friend built this basic deck (gyre sage, silverblade, resto, silverheart, smiter) and can get some crazy T3 or T4 damage through but when he's not nut drawing he gets shut down fairly hard.
Thanks to NerdBoyWonder for the amazing sig!
Son, I want you to know that no matter what happens between your mother and me, it's all your fault.

A friend of mine is planning on running a Bant Stompy version of this, with Delver and Snapcaster; I know it doesn't seem like it would be the same deck after that sort of major change but it follows the same type of gameplan. I'll see if I can get the decklist from him on Friday (although honestly the deck is basically Delver + Snapcaster + token producing instants + populate shenanigans, so I could probably bullshit my way through a decklist if need be).

I don't know, with a significant amount of Selesnya's token makers being Instants or Sorceries, you can get a lot of value out of Delver and Snapcaster.

Fair enough.
Yeah, Senior Stompy was mostly just well-above-the-curve weenie creatures and pump spells.

I think I am going to play a GW list similar to the ones we were all playing in Scars/Innistrad. Strangleroot Geist is still one of the better aggro cards ever printed, and being able to play Dryad Militant in the mainboard seems like a pretty decent place to be at the moment.
Increasing Savagery is also an awesome card, as is Wolfir Silverheart and even Vorapede. Losing Thrunn, the Last Troll isn't even that big of a deal when you consider just how awesome the rest of the cards in the deck are now.

Benn helping my girlfriend brew this. SB isn't done yet, not sure what else to add. Inspired by Redthirst's list. Wanted to fit strangleroot in but couldn't find room. I honestly think voice is just straight up better most of the time.
Another route to consider is cutting gyre sage and wolfir and adding in strangleroots and...something else to be more all in, but the above deck has tested well so far. This deck seems unbeatable for control and other aggro decks.
As
for the SB:
The ranger's guile's are there to help vs. Jund midrange or other spot removal heavy decks, might use faith's shield instead. Trostani to make aggro mirrors even more in your favor. Sundering growth to help vs. bant enchant, and oblivion ring is just a universal answer to a lot of things. Considering Sigarda for those last two slots, she seems unanswerable for decks like Jund

Here's the newest version, much more aggro. Took out Gyre Sage and Wolfir for a faster curve. Seems to be doing well in playtesting vs. Jund unless they either rip bonfire or farseek into a turn 3 olivia but even then selesnya charm can take care of it. Still need to test vs. junk rites but i think the deck will be fast enough to beat it. Its absolutely invincible to control, and does well vs. other aggro decks too.

What the hell are you going to play Trostani against? Seems SUPER flimsy, you'd probably be better off playing Vorapede or Silverheart in that slot to just break open any midrange matchup.
Also 4 Selesnya Charms is probably too much. Maybe find room for a Restoration Angel or two somewhere, being able to reset your Silverblade Paladins is pretty good.

I really like this list, actually. But that may be in part because you can buy the entire list minus shocklands for about a buck forty and a stick of gum.Time to redo this bitch with M14 spoilers in mind:

I think voice is actually too good to not play. Strangleroot geist is a card that has been constantly unimpressive since GSZ rotated. They're both good against control, but Voice is SO much better.
Also, I don't this deck can win any reasonably long game as everything just gets so outclassed. Jund for instance seems laughably bad. I think Green Stompy needs Wolfir Silverheart as an actual top end.

I was going to bring in Trostani for the aggro matches but she might not be necessary since this deck beats aggro pretty well anyway. What the hell are you going to play Trostani against? Also 4 Selesnya Charms is probably too much. Maybe find room for a Restoration Angel or two somewhere, being able to reset your Silverblade Paladins is pretty good.
I've also found Selesnya Charm to be quite valuable. Kills lots of relevant targets with it's exile ability, can make a 2/2 blocker in a pinch, and the +2/+2 and trample can save your dudes and help close out games. I might move some to the board.
I've also
found silverheart to be too slow a lot of the time. Sure getting him out turn four off of gyre sage can be real strong but sometimes he can make your draws clunky. Sigarda comes in from the board for the midrange matchups. She's literally unanswerable for Jund besides ripping bonfire for 5 or blocking with a 5/5 olivia (which is in selesnya charm range). I suppose vampire nighthawk could work too but not many play him nowadays from what i can tell.
I'm thinking about cutting Thalia too, the deck runs too many spells. Her keeping you out of Advent range can hurt.
