[DGM] Maze's End
Maze's End
Land Mythic Rare
Maze's End enters the battlefield tapped.
{T}: Add 1 to your mana pool.
3, {T}, Return Maze's End to your hand: Search your library for a Gate card, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle your library. If you control ten or more Gates with different names, you win the game.
Seriously...fuck this noise.

I'm just amazed by how dumb you can consistently pretend to be.

They might as well have made it a common. The only thing mythic rare about it are the chances it will actually be played in decks
Eric, Ren and Jensen were activists
Heads loaded with theory, their hearts are filled with passion
Shared the same left wing politics
Liked the same music, they were part of the protest movement
Now, Anna presented herself as a feminist
Studied the way they talked and dressed
Fashioned herself an anarchist
Eric fell in love with Anna at the meeting of the crime think conference
He didn't know it but Anna was an FBI informant

Well, and since it's the pre-release promo...it can be brought up in statistics that they're giving us a mythic promo.
Quite frankly, I'm kinda happy it's mythic. Means I won't get many of these pieces of crap. I hope...I mean, in our first box of Gatecrash, we DID get two Enter the Infinite...

My personal dislike for it is because I don't play EDH...not yet, anyway. For this to be useful in Standard, you'd have to be running all 10 gates, which could kill tempo badly, and by the time you can start using it...you have better things to be spending four mana on.
It's crazy flavorful, which is cool, but it just doesn't excite me. I want to be seeing cards that excite me, and I'm usually one of the people who others accuse of hanging from WotC's nutsack, so this isn't a normal response from me.

Probably mythic because of drafting with the guildgates going to be in most packs. Of course, that sucks for those of us who want to actually get something when we buy packs and you get one of these. This is why I don't like to open packs. I immediately check the back of the pack for any foil/rare and don't give a crap about the rest of the stuff. I'd be pissed to blow $4 and get this in return.

Meh, perhaps you're right. Hell, you probably are. It's not so much the power level or lack of board interaction that bugs me, it's that the archetype (if it takes off) is pretty mindless: pack the deck with game-stoppers and win off a land (that dodges the pathetic vestiges of land removal we have now, even!). Perhaps I'm just an old codger who loves an intensive, thought-provoking meta a littleis it better or worse than "do nothing drownyard you"Kind of the point, Thrillho. "Play lands win" is not my favorite thing in the world.
too much, but that ya go.

You don't have to use this to win the game...you can use it for fixing and thining in the mid/late game. I don't know if it will get played or not but in block it could be a 1 or 2 of in 4/5 color control

My only problem with this is... are Standard control decks really going to want to play all 10 gates in their decks as one-ofs that MUST come into play tapped?is it better or worse than "do nothing drownyard you"Kind of the point, Thrillho. "Play lands win" is not my favorite thing in the world.

Shit, lol, I need to pay more attention to spoilers. Another "you win the game" card for my Battle of Wits deck. Now I MUST put gates in the deck...

That explains why people keep coming over for chicken nuggets
