The leak was Nai Wizards itself, by making the Spanish translation of Maro's article available for rumormongers!
The guy who screenshot this had a TV or something
Here's my translation of the article's bit:
The next mechanic we tried was supermorph. Playing face-down cards with that ability costed 4 mana, but they came with a +1/+1 counter, so they worked as 3/3 creatures. It was a joy to play supermorph. It was similar to morph, so it was easy to learn how to use it, but it worked very differently strategically. Besides, it gave you an incentive to play them face-down even if you had enough mana to cast them directly, because you got a +1/+1 counter. Besides, unlike bearmorph, supermorph took advantage of counters to distinguish it from normal morph.
So, what happened to supermorph? It had a little problem: it was not compatible with morph. When you cast a supermorph card, you knew it didn't have morph, so there was no interaction between the two. Cards with morph could only be creatures with morph and cards with supermorph could only be creatures with supermorph. As a defender of this mechanic I argued it would be acceptable. Yes, it was a disadvantage, but supermorph had many advantages. In the end, I could not win that battle.
The final morph variant turned out to be an evolution of supermorph. It didn't use 4 mana costs to cast 3/3 creatures, but it kept the idea of "starting face-down in order to get a +1/+1 counter". The test name of this new variant was megamorph, which caught on and ended up being used as the final name. Creatures with megamorph are like creatures with morph, but they have an advantage: when they are turned face-up, they get a +1/+1 counter.
To demonstrate, allow me to reveal today's card. World, I'd like to introduce [Strata Dancer].
DRAGONS FOR ALL
There's still a lot to tell about Dragons of Tarkir design, but I've reached today's limit. Luckily, this is part 1 of the article, so I'll continue yaddah yaddah social media yaddah yadday come back next week blah blah blah.

EDIT: Turns out someone had already translated the whole article, I'll leave it here if you want (can bear) to read it all http://chumpblock.blogspot.co.uk/2015/0 ... gpost.html
