Well, I guess we'll just have to take a page from the Colonol and Double Down.

4 scarabs
2 small pickles
3 tbsp saliva
sand

Deshell the scarabs by making lateral incisions in their sides, right below the base of their back shell. Carefully remove the top and bottom of the shells separately and set them aside - we'll need them in a minute. Remove any additional hard bits that you missed, then mix the scarab innards with saliva in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Add sand, stirring constantly, until the mixture is approximately the same consistency as an infidel's brain matter. Slice pickles in half lengthwise then divide the mixture evenly onto the four bottom shells, placing a pickle on each. Put the back shells on top and enjoy your scarab sandwich!

Serves one.
