Attach as an Instant for :symb: :symb:

I'd find room for Etched Champion. It's expensive for the deck at :3mana: but it + Plating will just win you the game.
I'm thinking it instead of Frogmite. He's only $4 a piece so I guess I'm okay with buying a playset. It seems like nobody around here has any modern staples whatsoever. It's only recently become a "thing" around here with events at the two local LGSs on the first Friday of the month.

Dragonshift looks pretty snazzy. Instant speed surprise dragons in my favorite colors. I'll be making this work, somehow.

Redbros, I need help with my budget mono red affinity list. Is it good?

[deck]Budget Mono Red Affinity[/deck]

Blood Crypts are only there because 1) I already have a playset and 2) extra black sources for Cranial Plating.

Wish I could get some Blood Moons for the sideboard. I feel like I want more burn, but I also feel like I need at least 24 creatures for maximum benefit with Cranial
Plating and Signal Pest.
Do you intend to start working towards a non-budget version? If so, this is what I play.

[deck]Realsteel.[/deck]

You don't really need Cranial Plating at instant speed, it's pretty hard to beat even at sorcery speed.

Forgot about Steel Overseer - that's only a few bucks too, right?

Hell, with the exception of Mox Opal, that whole list is pretty easy on the wallet.

Archbound Ravager is like $30, Blinkmoth Nexus' are also like $20. I'd be playing another Ravager if I could (going -1 Shrapnel Blast) but I just don't own one.

It's a popular deck for grinders because you can literally just buy the whole list at an event and play it to an 8-X finish with no prior experience. People do that a lot, so it drives the price up on the staples for it.

Makes sense - deck is strong and fairly straight-forward.

On a completely unrelated note... anyone seen Dane lately?

I would replace the souleaters with etched champion. Souleater isn't that good without stuff that abuse his free pump. So many decks just have no way of dealing with him.

Very similar to my list. I don't run an Reckoners MB - 3 in the side. In their place I run
+2 GCR and +2 Rancor MB. Reckoners are great when you're in the mirror or playing against a faster aggro deck, but I find they slow the deck down in other matchups.

I feel like you don't need your SB cards to all be 4x. You can bring in some more diversity by dropping to 2x and 3x. Cards to consider if you do that would be Bonfire, as you mentioned, Flames of the Firebrand, Volcanic Strength, and the Reckoners. If you add Bonfires or Flames you likely won't need the 1x Pillar SB - I'm still not seeing many zombies any more, but it's a meta call.

And I personally don't have any Skullcracks in my 75. If you free that spot you can start packing more answers in your sideboard.
