You already developed a Travis Woo deck.
You mean by taking the working ideas of players who choose to publicly share, calling them your own and failing to give credit? Sounds too "American opportunist" for you, Zeman.

I am not a clan member, but I am a red mage.

And as a red mage, of course I have to register an account to wish Z happy birthday!

Two things:

1. z, you have a girlfriend - I can tell that scares you, but just get out of your own head and enjoy it or talk to her about what exactly that means because you are driving yourself nuts guessing and second guessing what's going on. It's not in any way my business, but this issue has been fucking with you for what? A month? More?

2. I absolutely love you guys.

Okay three things:

3. No homo.

Four things.

4. Lots of homo.

I don't yet. Seriously. But it's headed in that direction, which does mean I need to give it some serious thought. I am obviously really emotionally invested though. It's weird though ~ I don't feel a rush to hurry thing along and I don't think she does either ~ it's just comfortable.

Z- I knew from my very first date with my girl that I'd found somebody pretty awesome because I truly felt comfortable around her. I didn't have to bullshit or act any different. Comfortable was the exact word I used to describe to my friends about how I felt. Now I love her completel.

That is, without a doubt, the perfect place to be. It's kinda tragic that being happy together with someone can be one of the most rewarding and terrifying experiences. As others have said, just be yourselves. In the long run, that's what you'll need to be anyway.

Agree with the changes. Also, for photo.

[deck]4 Diregraf Ghoul
4 Gravecrawler
3 Blood Artist
4 Cartel Aristocrat
2 Skirsdag High Priest
4 Geralfs Messenger
3 Restoration Angel
2 Obzedat, Ghost Council

4 Lingering Souls
2 Orhzov Charm
2 Sorin, Lord of Innistrad
2 Tragic Slip

4 Godless Shrine
4 Isolated Chapel
4 Orzhov Guildgate
2 Cavern of Souls
9 Swamp
1 Vault of the Archangel[/deck]

For more aggresion and better mana, substitute bloodthrone vampire for cartel aristocrat.
This is pretty cool...but help me out here...what's the argument for guildgates? I know the arguments against, but is smoothing out your mana worth the tempo loss? Wouldn't
some combination of basics be better here?

Not being snarky, really interested in a bit of enlightenment here. I haven't seen gates proposed for usage in a non-budget deck that I can remember. With Cavern and Ghost Dad...this isn't budget.

Hell,
my wife was dancing at a club once, and I had to hold back the urge to get up and take MY clothes off.

I think I was born to be a nudist. Or at least scandalous.

Zeman do you think G/r Gruul will be better positioned with Ruric Thar?

I'm thinkin of pre-ordering him and getting my Geists.

Mainly because I want to play Domri in the main and Silverhearts.

@Dane – The various Guildgates are quite good at mana fixing, and you can usually play around the tempo loss. The prevailing mindset is 1) the land coming into play tapped is much better than not having that mana available later on; and 2) you can usually recover quickly from that tempo loss with big creatures and spells dealing lots of damage (a la Dos Rakis and sledgehammer builds) or with resilient creatures that don't care about board state as much like Messenger or with combat options like Vault.

The gates are really good at what they do.

Actually, Dos Rakis ran 2-3 gates without issue when it was a viable deck...the question becomes whether you get bigger tempo loss from a CIPT land or being unable to cast cards due to color screw. In a deck running Messenger, you generally avoid any non-black basics. Zombies also has some of the harder-hitting 1 drops, so T2 gate/ghoul is not the most horrible play.

You could arguably play some plains, but they will result in some mulls.

EDIT: ...and windstrider slides in before me with the answer! :p

Thanks for the explanation. I just know I'm going to end up with 3 gates in my opening hand, mull down to 6, still have 2, mull down to 5, and this time, have all 4.

And that'll happen
EVERY. GAME.

My luck, she is a bitch. And I shuffle the everloving SHIT out of my deck.

Finished 4-0 in my LGS's daily standard. Ran Saito Gruul and had some close calls.

Naya Blitz - 2-0
Took game 1 without much problems. Game 2 was harder because I had to mulligan to 3 (Mountain, Reckoner, Mizzium Mortars) but won on the back of Boros Reckoner and Frostburn Weird. I'm down to 2 and had Reckoner with Volcanic Strength and a Frostburn Weird in play. He was down to 11 with two Lightning Maulers and a Frontline Medic all tapped out. I had 4 lands in play and a land in my hand. Topdeck Rancor for the win.

Experiment Jund - 2-0
Personally a sad game where he decided to keep mediocre hands. The game ended so fast we played a few more and that was when his deck worked.

Naya Midrange - 2-1
MVP of the game was Firefist Striker. He's surprisingly good with BTW as I expected.

Esper Control - 2-1
I guess I
have to attribute my wins to very good hands and my opponent having bad draws here. Game 1 was the longest when I got him down to 2 but he stabilized and won anyway. Hardest match of the night.

Firefist Striker is card for lower curve lists. Boros Reckoner is actually slow for the deck. Frostburn Weird is, as expected, a decent cheap wall for cheap and can actually end games.
The Deck list
[deck]Creatures
4 Stromkirk Noble
4 Rakdos Cackler
2 Legion Loyalist
4 Firefist Striker
4 Flinthoof Boar
4 Ash Zealot

MD Changes:
-1 Madcap Skills, +1 Mountain
Had to mulligan a lot earlier and it is hard to constantly hit 2 lands.
Madcap Skills is ok, though it's harder to cast then I thought.

SB:
I'll probably drop BA altogether since I put it there to deal with out of hand midrange boards. However, most of the time you won't even have enough mana to cast BA or it's too late in the game to do it. I might keep keep Frostburn Weird because he can be nuts against the aggro mirror.
And ah yes, the price was free entrance fee for Dragon's Maze PR.

Very nice Christen. How do you like the Weirds? With Aggro everywhere I was thinking that they would be a good addition to any R-based Aggro SB but I haven't tested them yet.

They still baller, or do they seem lacking with RGx Aggro packing Rancor, GCR, and Striker?

Degenerate? Sure. Loudmouth? You bet. Law abiding? No ****ing way.

Great guy to have around? Hell yes.
I love the D...
