Here's what I'm planning to play week 1.Seems like an interesting deck. How has it fared in testing?
Searing Blaze = Draconic Roar

Played Cube last night (second time ever). Of course,in true scrump fashion, I drafted Mono Red, which was ridiculously busted. I ultimately succumbed to a D&T style white weenie deck which packed both Jitte and War Hammer. ![:-o :ohdear:](./images/smilies/ohdear.png)
It was scrump vs scrump, that game was. Fun times.

In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.
I rarely skip a Khaospawn wall of text because I know there is always piss at the end of the rainbow.

z,
Some time ago, in a private message, I wrote this to you: "Your insights into the game are very, very good. More to the point though, they're accessible, which is the most important part about teaching someone a skill." The red primer that you wrote and the various flavors of decks that you helped to create influenced quite a few people. You had a positive impact on the game, and that is an accomplishment in and of itself.
I can't downplay the seriousness of the cheating incident. It happened, and you'll have to live with the consequences of it for some time. How you choose to deal with it will define what kind of influence you can have on the game going forward. If you choose it, you could emerge from this a stronger gamer and a stronger person.
I'm here to listen and help in whatever capacity you want. I'm your friend, and we help each other out around here.
First thing, address the depression. I speak of that from firsthand experience. Go to a therapist, get on a schedule, and be honest. It'll suck, and it'll hurt, but you'll be much better for it.
And then get back here, and let's talk red decks.![:-) :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)

I don't subscribe to the premium content on SCG, but reading the comments it's clear the red devotion got stomped. The comments also question several of the card choices in the deck, whereas a more interactive version could have prevailed.Watch the video on SCG with Brad playing BBD from yesterday..thats what happens to red devo

Mono Red decks are easily nerfed, but they'll soon be back. And in greater numbers.oh so now mono red can't ever accidentally beat the decks I draft

Most of the time Lightning Strike is killing a creature anyway. I think you want to be playing the Dragons anyway, so it's likely a strict upgrade. Haven checked the charts, but I think with 8 dragons you're going to be at least 50% to have one opening.Draconic Roar is not good.
There are instances where you have the dragon and you feel like you're a real boy, but the "if you're holding a dragon" mechanic is much better in hearthstone. It's inconsistent and you have more powerful or consistent effects available without it.

Red devotion has been medium in testing. I don't think you can just run the big red nykthos engine. I'll try to build a sort of sligh agro deck with fanatic of mogis as the payoff, but I'm not confidant in that either.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.
Beatdown is hard, though.
