In what year are we playing black in legacy?

Moderator: redthirst
I was just trying him out, but you're right that he's slow and probably a better top end to an aggro deck than a middle beater.I feel like Butcher isn't good enough. There are times I feel like he's not good enough in standard. Stormbreath could be interesting though. Is it really better than Thundermaw Hellkite or Demigod of Revenge though?I was playing this for lulz.

Wrong.Revised duels are an acceptable budget replacement to betaYeah but you're a budg scrub
Son, I want you to know that no matter what happens between your mother and me, it's all your fault.
you're outta luck kidHey so question for you guys,
Reentering standard with an initial bankroll of $100 + whatever value is left in my old Standard trade binder (RtR block + M14 + Theros, BtG and some JOU). The decks I've done the best with are RW Burn, Hellrider aggro, Sledgehammer, and KDW. RW Burn being my most enjoyable. Are there any decks that are being worked on feasible to assemble for playing constructed or should I just focus on Limited for a while?
Is it a good investment to grab a UC playset of Khans for $40 and reduce my singles capital to $60? Im concerned that landbase issues and rarity may be cutting me out from being competitive this season in Constructed which remains my favorite format. I've learned my lesson of playing "budget" versions of bigger decks, the compromise made to reduce price are not comparable to designing a fresh deck with a solid gameplan that has a low rarity count.
Standard hobos who play budget garbage should be looked upon with suspicion.
I've never really found Ajani V or Knight errant to be good.I was just trying him out, but you're right that he's slow and probably a better top end to an aggro deck than a middle beater.I feel like Butcher isn't good enough. He could easily be some combination of Ajani Vengeant, Chandra and Elspeth.
I like SBD a lot because he dodges Bolt, Path and can punch through white fliers like Restoration Angel and Collonade.
Demigod is good, too, I wouldn't fault you for trying him in a deck with better GY synergy, or a deck with Liliana.
They're both very good, but they don't just drop into any old deck with red/white. In a deck where you're clearing the board or gumming it up with tokens, both of those PWs do good work.I've never really found Ajani V or Knight errant to be good.I was just trying him out, but you're right that he's slow and probably a better top end to an aggro deck than a middle beater.I feel like Butcher isn't good enough. Am I missing something?

5 - Condescending jerk zem
6 - Self-aware zem
In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.
I rarely skip a Khaospawn wall of text because I know there is always piss at the end of the rainbow.
