Khans mechanic spoiled. "Raid" from the Mardu clan. From this card:

Mardu Heart-Piercer 3R
Creature - Human Archer (Uncommon)
Raid - When Mardu Heart-Piercer enters the battlefield, if you attacked with a creature this turn, Mardu Heart-Piercer deals 2 damage to target creature or player.
2/3

Not sure if "Raid" will always be 2dmg or be based off the creature's power, or if other things change, but even though this particular card isn't great I'm hopeful about the mechanic as a whole.

note the creature needn't have done any damage and it doesn't even need to still exist on the battlefield in the 2nd main. Just if something attacked. Seems Raid has decent synergy with Rabblemaster.

First, I'm sure Raid will be all sorts of effects that are triggered under the same circumstance. Raid for blue might be drawing cards or green will be summon little saprolings or whatever. It will always be "if you attacked
with a creature this turn."

Second, what the fuck at a red creature with more toughness than power? It ain't right, I tell you. It ain't right.
Fuck you and the green you ramped in on. - My EDH battle cry. If I had one.

Well, I think the mechanics are clan-based. So only Mardu colored cards will get "Raid." Sort of like guild mechanics from both Ravnica blocks.

Also, he's a mounted archer so I guess it makes sense flavor wise (the big butt).

yeah each clan is specific to wedge colors. I believe Mardu is WBR (could be wrong).

EDIT: From Kait earlier in the thread:

Khans of Tarkir
* Sarkhan,
* Kahns is a bottom up set
* a unique draft structure: the block is Large/small/Large where the small set is drafted with both large sets
* a time travel element. The block is a time travel story
* Khans of Tarkir is a wedge set but it is not a wedge block as the story is about change
* Each clan has a three-color leader (aka the khans) who were all introduced
* Tarkir is a plane of five warring clans. Each worships one aspect of the (now extinct) dragons...
* Kahns killed the dragons, clans lead by warlords. Each clan has
dragon attributes
* The five clans are based around a single color in WUBRG order with one ally and one enemy)
* Each clan gets it’s own mechanic plus morph so there are six mechanics in Khans
* WBG. The Azban Houses Dragon aspect: Endurance. Symbol: Scale of the Dragon. Khan: Anafenza
* URW. The Jeskai Way Dragon aspect: Cunning. Symbol: Eye of the Dragon. Khan: Narset
* BGU. The Sultai Brood Dragon aspect: Ruthlessness. Symbol: Fang of the Dragon. Khan: Sidisi
* RWB. The Mardu Horde Dragon aspect: Speed. Symbol: Wings of the Dragon. Khan: Zurgo Helmsmasher. Orcs
* GUR. The Temur Frontier Dragon aspect: Savagery. Symbol: Claw of the Dragon. Khan: Surrak Dragonclaw
* Morph isn't the only returning mechanic

O_o Raid also seems to have some synergy with Preeminent Captain (as long as we get some Soldier type Raid creatures that are playable). Nice :)
