He's good, but he's no Zem.

Spending my evening watching Season 1 of Digimon again.

Digimon? I just started with season 1 of Pokemon myself, much better! I never got into Digimon, although that might be because of the really awful dub they had here.

Legacy Guys: Is Pox any good in legacy? I traded my standard stuff in paper for a playset of Liliana of the Veil's for 8Rack in modern and now I want to play the damn things in every deck I build now. It seemed like I could build a decently competitive pox build for local play relatively cheaply if I have the Liliana's already

My friend JJ won the SCG LA with Esper. Super happy to see him do well as he has a real job and doesn't get to play as often as some of us despite being v. good. Plus he's a lunatic. His picture will likely be awesome.

That's awesome. I'm in the same boat regarding work and family. Just makes me appreciate the time I get to play even more.

You ever have a moment in your life where you feel like you're trapped in a car stuck on the railroad tracks?

I can see the train headed for me and the outcome of this is entirely out of my control. Sure, there's a chance I get out of this alive, buy my car is never going to drive the same again, even if I spend years repairing it.

The car is my life. The train is my wife.

Check it out, surprise poetry.

I think of poetry from time to time,
But I can't think of things that sound alike.

It is pretty dicey, but I probably shouldn't have even brought it up. How about we change the subject.

Kaze, if you're alone, go now. If you have other people with you all the time, then you can risk waiting until the morning to find out if it's something serious.

Or you can just play Burn, statistically the best deck in the format, and likely to be well positioned with Esper putting up huge results this weekend just gone.

Didn't even notice that Esper dominated the GP. Looks like the Mono-black Aggro deck I just built is well positioned.

Looks like interesting weekends were had by all. Went 3-0 (6-1) with Boros Burn on Friday to grab 20 in cred to snag a free entry into GPT Philly sealed. Sponsored housemate for $10 so he could play. Promptly went 1-4 to finish 16th of 22, but walked out with XenaGod, 2xTemple, Foil Helios and ... a SBD. Not bad for $10!!

Made it home in time to help ex-gf finish moving out and in with her new gf, then met a new cute chick at our DnD game on Sunday.

But I really want to hear what happened on the Purp Show.
Some men just want to watch the planes burn. . .and most of them are here.

Oh, and while we were cleaning I smelled smoke. So my wife went outside to see what the smell was coming from. On her way out the door I said "as long as its not our house". Five seconds later she come back in and says "where's our hose!?" Had a tiny heart attack. New neighbors had accidentally set their back yard on fire, and damn near destroyed the house in the process. Burned half of my yard up too. They were out there trying to put it out with cups of water because neither of them thought to call the damn fire department.

I casually stomped FNM, worked on Saturday which was followed up with a productive band practice. Yesterday was housework, working out, and contemplating my life and whether I should quit school or not. A rather tame weekend.
