I am pretty fucking psyched for my Asuka sleeves. Going to use them as tokens most likely (so I don't have to sleeve and re-sleeve in sideboarding), but I will be sure to use them at every opportunity.
Oh, Sealed GP? Yeah you fucking bet.

So I just finished a 3 hour commander game, 4 control decks (my nekusar, the WU angel from avacyn restored, the bant bird from the evasive maneuvers commander box, and teferi). I ended up winning only because I hit boseiju who shelters all and my spells couldn't be countered I exiled 2 graveyards before they could be shuffled back in (everyone was running elixers or eldrazi to keep from decking), and I managed to get underworld dreams to stick at the end. We all went through our decks several times, and everything was countered or destroyed before the owners next upkeep. I'm not going to lie, I fell asleep multiple times. Got one game in before the shop closed thanks to that excruciating game. I really need to get to work on xenagos so I have a better option for bashing through all this. quagnoth, scragnoth, vexing shusher, [
card]spellbreaker behemoth[/card], and mistcutter hydra are all now very high on my list of includes.

thanks to nbw for the sig.
You do need to try to gay it up a little more.
You're like the least gay member of this clan.
And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

I've been jamming with my old roommate, who's a drummer, and I think it's safe to say I now have a "band." I use the term loosely since it's just me and him, but we have rhythm guitar, drums, and I'm doing vocals. But after a week of playing everyday, I think it's all coming together.
I mention this because I'm also going to be sitting in with my dad's band this Sunday. The cool thing is that I get to have a 10-15 minute "mini-set" for me and my drummer to do some songs. We've got it down to three songs: Breaking the Law by Judas Priest, Love Gun by Kiss, and Living After Midnight (another song by Priest). I'm so fucking excited to do this.
Problem is, I nearly blew out my voice last night because I don't have a mic and speakers. Yet. Love Gun is a little out of my vocal range on the chorus, but with a mic at the gig, I won't have to worry about projecting as much. I just have to keep my
voice at a minimum until Sunday, which will be difficult because I talk a lot.
Also, I think me and buddy picked a name for our band: The Down and Dirties. It makes me laugh.

In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.

I think if I ever started a band, I'd name it after one of the funnier mistaken lyrical translations that I've heard. Either:
Dirty Steve and the Thunder Chiefs
or
The Redneck Kings of Funk

I woke up today with Got Rice stuck in my head for some reason. Have not heard that ridiculous song in probably 15 years.
