Obviously haven't checked this thread recently, lol. It loaded page 610 up and it was talking about shoes. I was like, "wasn't that what they're talking about last time I was here?!?" Anyway, there's an SCG IQ tomorrow morning and I'm never good at picking a deck. I am familiar with all of the red decks (keep up on here and have piloted them each to FNMs). What do you think a well-placed (w.r.t. the SCG meta) is? I have the cards for any of the variants, just no clue wha to play. What would you play?

Im going to crush the legacy part of the Invitational next weekend. Also Pauper as a format.

I direct your attention to the best deck in pauper: viewtopic.php?f=114&t=2045&p=158599#p158599
Not even kidding a little. More of a full write up coming. I have been playing Pauper all week and cracked the format.

Pretty good actually. There are a few troublesome matchups, but you have outs. MUC is very annoying, but if you stay calm it's pretty easy. Infect requires some careful balancing of face vs. Creatures, but it goes down pretty smooth if you remember to play your removal as sorceries (so they waste pumps), if I expected to play the match-up with any frequency I would put sudden shock in the board. Turbo fog is laughably easy, even without boarding (red elemental blast is a questionable board-in, but has merits). Faeries ain't too bad, just watch for counters. How does burn stack up in pauper?

thanks to nbw for the sig.
You do need to try to gay it up a little more.
You're like the least gay member of this clan.
And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

Burn is ok, not good. It rewards good decision making and sequencing at least. I'd want to have more control of my fate than that.

Ah shit, PTQ tomorrow and in DDL(Deck-decision-limbo) and need help from my fellow flames!
Was planning on running Big Boros with 4x Dragons but after an iffy FNM, I got to thinking.
Theres another deck that seems well positioned. The Rakdos aggro that got brewed up on here and then won GP Santiago a month ago.
My meta (New England) is really control and midrange heavy. Not much Red or aggro aside from blue. Expecing lots of Mono Blue, Mono Black, and then Control of some sort.
Am I crazy for going with B/R Aggro?

Yea I try not to take FNM too seriously, but I just didn't feel like it matched my playstyle and am leaning towards something more aggresive. I feel much more comfortable with that. No, but don't let one iffy FNM rattle you either.
Trying to fit Thoughtseize in the maindeck cause it just seems awesome right now.
Based on the GP Sanitago winning list
[deck]4 Blood Crypt
8 Mountain
10 Swamp
22 lands
4 Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch
4 Mogis's Marauder
4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Rakdos Shred-Freak
4 Spike Jester
1 Thrill-Kill Assassin
4 Tormented Hero
3 Xathrid Necromancer
28 creatures
2 Doom Blade
4 Lightning Strike
4 Madcap Skills
10 other spells
Sideboard
2 Burning Earth
2 Dreadbore
2 Erebos, God of the Dead
n2 Mizzium Mortars
1 Rakdos Guildgate
4 Thoughtseize
2 Whip of Erebos
[/deck]
I am thinking of cutting some combo of Shred-Freak, Madcap Skills, Xanrid Necromancer(to the SB) for the 4 Thoughtseize.
Thoughts?

App. = apparentlyWhat didn't you like about it?Br Aggro is app. good vs Esper, Bx and Ux so give it a shot (I dislike it though).
"app.good?"
Br is a turn guys sideways decks with an inconsistency as **** land base. I prefer more control in my games and I dislike folding to Red and white (the deck does win, I just can't pilot it - like with the original Big Boros list its just not my style).

Fair enough. I do not expect to see much of either of those decks.App. = apparentlyWhat didn't you like about it?Br Aggro is app. good vs Esper, Bx and Ux so give it a shot (I dislike it though).

Could you offer any insight into moving Thoughtseize to the maindeck in the very last post of previous page?

Traded a spare Temple of Silence and a Hero's Downfall for an Overgrown Tomb and a Steam Vents tonight. (b' ')b
Can trade off the GB land if BG is a thing come February and the price jumps (was Tomb in an event deck?), and UR is safe to hold on to. Even if everyone is holding shocks waiting for a price increase, worst-case scenario everyone sells them off, it tanks the price, then I can pick them up for supercheap and just hold. Probably not happening, but hey.

If you don't know how to lie, then how do you know if you're being lied to?
The answer? Use a gun. And if that don't work... use more gun.

Read this thread for Br Aggro http://diestoremoval.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=1560&start=40 in regards to TS MD? Do it, the GP winner said he wished that he included it.
Beside that I can't really help you in the SBP or want to cut for TS since I did poorly with the list when I tried it awhile back.

Whats in dallas? The weather machine worked perfectly for Dallas. No idea how many prosickles froze or wrecked on the way here but the drive was fun.
Doing the burn deck and planning on boarding out cackler and Phoenix on mono blue since they get walled and disabled too easy. Running wear // tear sb too. Shrug.
Edit: gp Dallas. Stupid me. I should start keeping up so I can go.

I'd hate for Santa Claus to be shot down by a UFO full of ghosts, but since that's about as likely it doesn't tend to keep me up at night.I'd hate for you to be found inadequate.zem still hasn't invited me over for a "Vegemite Sandwich" with him and Pip... I mean, that's not how I roll, but it'd still be nice to be asked.

redthirst is redthirst, fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He was the leader of the Fires of Salvation, the only clan I'm aware of to get modded off the forums so hard they made their own forums.
