Also, starting with Theros, Japanese cards are being printed in Japan. They have a different finish / feel to them, and there's a lot more air in the pack. They are also stacked backward (Rare / Mythic first). Why does Japan do everything backward? lol

Johnny_Spike: Local card shop prices are similar to those you listed, so I guess MTGO just is a lot cheaper.

Yeah, JS, for most cards that are current MODO is substantially cheaper than paper. The exception comes from the fact that the MODO card pool is smaller overall than the paper one, so intense demand for a given card can actually push MODO prices equal to or even above paper prices. The best recent example is Liliana of the Veil ; before she rotated, she hit nearly $60 on MODO, though she was hanging out below $40 in paper. Right now, [card]Hero's Downfall[/card] is essentially the same price in both arenas because of demand.

As long as you don't need cards irl and paper, MODO is just way better:
- cheaper cards;
- more games available; and
- higher quality opponents.

Went 2-1 in an 8-man:
2-0 vs MBC (maindeck Pharika's cure, reality)
2-1 vs Dark Skies
1-2 vs Mono Blue Master

It seems that the green red decks have gone again; I'm still seeing UWx Control, but most B(w) control and mono red/blue. Time for changes!!

Breakdown of Tier 3/4 by personality.

LAWFUL GOOD: Photodyer
NEUTRAL GOOD: Windstrider/Fate/Nuwen
CHAOTIC GOOD: Yarpus

LAWFUL NEUTRAL: Johnny Spike/Helios/Sasky
TRUE NEUTRAL: Hamfactorial
CHAOTIC NEUTRAL: Khaospawn

LAWFUL EVIL: LP, of the Fires
NEUTRAL EVIL: Alex
CHAOTIC EVIL: Redthirst

Yarpus wins for being the most like Luffy.
You got it exactly right! I have been called laweful evil so many times in my
life. Maybe I'm actually just the emperor? I hope nobody's dad throws me into a pit.

Also 4-0 tonight with pyro red, 8-0 in games. Played maybe three close games, including one against UB master of Babes where Chandra killed all of his elemental tokens and recurred my 2 phoenix's that I was sacking to DDemons every turn until she went ultimate.
I think you pegged us all except red leader...for all the ribaldry and dick jokes that we bat about, that man is lawful neutral if ever I've seen it. He strongly believes in our unalienable rights, and while I call him a friend, I have not one whit of doubt in my mind that he would end any of us without hesitation if we offered harm to him or his. There are rules and boundaries, and he's not the type to play favorites.
Damn straight, that or Chaotic Good (since I don't care about what's legal as much as what's right) - don't know where Chaotic Evil came from. Pretty sure we don't even have one.

You the character? Definitely chaotic evil.

True enough...within the realm of D2R, redthirst is very much subject to the whims of his member, which has absolutely no moral scruples whatsoever. While red leader is likely more neutral (and thus well-placed as clan potentate), his ravenous trouser monster runs very much the chaotic and malevolent Hyde to his Jekyll. Well played, zeman.

JS: BUT Japanese cards are worth more (usually 33%to 55% more) in the States. Consider selling them on ebay, then buying the ones that sell at your LGS and ship them. I know a guy in Japan who does that, it's a pretty good racket. I hear (don't know for sure) that Japanese players under-value foils, but you can move those for almost double the cost of a regular foil (Japanese foil lightning strikes are like $40 a set).

Lawful Neutral. Huh.

Too bad paypal won't work with my Canadian account and JP address. Maybe I'll just bring a binder of foils back with me in the spring.

What are the thoughts on B/g Midrange right now? Answers for days, and hard to deal with threats. Reaper of the Wilds seems very resilient if played correctly. This is what I've posted in the brewery area for my current thoughts on it:

[deck]
Creature (17)
4x Desecration Demon
2x Gray Merchant of Asphodel
4x Lifebane Zombie
4x Reaper of the Wilds
3x Scavenging Ooze

Instant (14)
2x Abrupt Decay
3x Devour Flesh
3x Doom Blade
3x Hero's Downfall
3x Putrefy

Enchantment (4)
2x Underworld Connections
2x Whip of Erebos

Planeswalker (1)
1x Vraska the Unseen

Land (24)
4x Forest
4x Golgari Guildgate
2x Mutavault
4x Overgrown Tomb
10x Swamp

Sideboard (15)
2x Dark Betrayal
1x Duress
2x Gaze of Granite
3x Golgari Charm
2x Illness in the Ranks
2x Pithing Needle
2x Thoughtseize
1x Vraska the Unseen
