I played a little bit of this deck and quite a bit of pyroboros and just wanted to add my thougts that i have liked the chained mainboard over the mortars more. This may be due to running into far more demon decks than blood baron decks online though. Having an answer to almost every card as well as...

@NerdBoy: Play the one you are most comfortable with. That being said, I wouldn't play Pyro without having put in a significant number of games with it to understand how the deck ticks. I would have to second this, first playing pyro red made me think i had no idea how to play the game for the firs...

I ran against one in a 2 man as well but my experiance was terrible. He went turn 1 thought seize to take my 1 drop, turn 2 doomblade 3 underworld, turn four 4 whip, turn 5 through 8 grey merchant. I think i almost uninstalled mtgo. something close to the same thing happened in game 2, but it was mo...

Thanks for the latest list Z :) Any chance of a quick SB insight for the slow ones at the back? I'm looking particularly at Boros Charm and ATL here :)
I would assume those are more for the control match up, boros charm can come in any time you think they have board wipes.

Do you guys think there's any place for Pithing Needle in the sb to deal with Elspeth and Jace? I personally haven't had too many issues with them so far, i feel like in the current deck, we need the heavy sideboard for the other matchups since control seems pretty one sided even pre board. Those a...

Tube, sorry to hear that man. I heard Dr. James Andrews can fix those things pretty well ;)

On a totally different note, I didn't even realize that Reckoners are now up to $20. :o
Wow, glad i bought mine at 8 then.

Went 3-0 in a daily and split that last match. Not really much to add from yesterday, i faced a do nothing mono black deck, a u/w agro that seemed bad and u/w control that didnt draw a god hand so died quickly. I really didn't get a challenge from today's daily

So, ive faced a few master of waves decks online and they are rough. The only possible way we can ever kill the dude is with skull crack + overloaded mortars, which is pretty much impossible. So is the current deck +2 Mountain, +2 Annihilating Fire, -1 Mutavault, -2 Flames, -1 Hammer ?
That is what i am currently playing, Annihilating Fire has been great in the mirror, but i had some issues flooding out. I may try -1 fire +1 hammer at 23 lands for another mana sink when it does happen.

So I got around to reading the wonderful post by Khaos, great work man. Just a few comments 1) I think 21 mountains is just fine to cast Reckoner...if you are gonna run 23 land, 1-2 can easily be mutavault. Theres enough upside to justify the rare chance you get a Mutavault instead of Mountain, but...

Okay, so more Burning Earth, less Skullcrack? With Naya as a possible threat, I can get behind that.
I agree with this. 3 colors instalose. To the card and we are too fast to blue white minus a nut draw

I could see siding in the additional mutavault against any midrange that runs red for more threats after a boardwipe. Otherwise i think i would agree with everything else. I think chandra against other weenies would be right as well, since we are basically switching to more control.
