Regarding VD in the 18 land Gruul Sligh deck: if it's going to be good in Aggro, that's where it'll see play - a deck that cares about nothing past a turn 3-4 win.

When I played Pod last Standard, abusing Slime was my favorite path to victory. And that was back when everyone wasn't running some 3-4 color monstrocity... Acidic Slime + Mimic Vat was a rather horrible combination to face. Ouch. I can do that in my EDH deck...as soon as I get a Mimic Vat. :jam:

I've also gotten into EDH. Two games in and I'm already hooked. You can do so many cool things and every game is different since you're playing nothing but one ofs. I love my Savra deck. I posted the list in the Multiplayer EDH section if anyone is interested. It's effective in 1v1 as well.
