In times like these, Kaze, I try to remember the best quote from Conan.

Dude: Conan! What is best in life!?

Conan: To crush your enemies! See them driven before you! And to hear the lamentations of their women!

I find that pot helps occasionally.
I've had too many bad experiences with drugs to indulge anymore.

Last Thanksgiving, I believe, was the last time. I was no stranger to drugs and had regularly indulged since Freshman year of high school. I had a rather high tolerance and it generally took a lot to feel anything. Well, that day, my then-girlfriend's friend brought synthetic over and I'd never tried it before. We had a gravity bong made out of a big cup and a 1-liter smart water bottle which usually took a couple hits to get me off. So, I lit up and took three full hits off it - three liquid liters of smoke(whatever that converts into idfk) and three minutes later I didn't feel anything and pronounced it was shit and promptly went inside to use
the bathroom.

Then, I fell out of the universe, lost my identity, floated in eternity for at least 10,000 years, and forgot how to talk. After the initial wave of wtf passed I spent the rest of the day staring at the clock making sure time was still moving.

Haven't compromised my mental state since. I still freak out when I see things in repetition for too long, like road lines or songs that repeat.

There's your Kaze story for the day.

Agree. It's hardly pushing the power envelope, but it does a lot of nice things for red decks, especially if we get to go back to being midrangey.

In all seriousness..."wicked" is the word that comes to mind. That deck would frustrate me into misplaying out of desperation...well done.

Dat U/B list....very similar to what my brother plays. It's not unbeatable, but it's very good. I have a lot of experience against it.

Funny that my brother and I have complete opposite playstyles. Makes for very good test sessions.

Also, this is what my phone autocorrects it as: U/Bugatti. Awesome.

I'll smoke a bowl or two once a week and that's about it. I stick to cigarettes and beer.

I do play poker at a coke bar occasionally though.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Salvia Divinorum. North American natives have been finding god(s) with that shit for millennia.

The first time I tried it was pretty unfortunate; I was 14 or 15 and the people I was with sprinkled it on a bowl of weed, then torched it up for me because young n00b. When it hit they told me I had smoked crack. I was pretty irate, uncomfortable, and tripping balls in a crowd of cruel strangers.

That experience that made me VERY protective of future trip buddies. People will do fucked up and mean things for no reason; for some, altered states are a window of holy exploration and not just shallow escapism.

If not salvia... ew. All of those synthetic highs are garbage. They don't contain anything that crosses the blood-brain barrier. If you feel any effect, it's because you're inhaling a concentrated aerosol suspension of carbon mono/dioxide and nitrogen. You might as well be choking yourself with a tube sock.

During one of the New Years I had to get my stomach sewed as I drank around 1 liter of illegal liquor. Shit was so bad that it made my stomach explode. Never seen that much blood in my life.
I actually had some issues with alcohol (there was a time in my life when I was getting wasted everyday), which is why I stopped drinking it for three years. I started again, but well, seems like I don't even have time to really get drunk.
Weed is weird as hell. I get really, really scared and psychotic when I use it.

I've never done any drug harder than alcohol, though mostly by circumstance. I went to a Catholic schools until I graduated and went to college, and drug abuse was pretty rampant there. Since I played 4 sports, I was subject to year-round random drug tests, and fear of being removed from the team kept me clean. In college, my friends' vices went only as far as drinking and playing video games, so I wasn't tempted.

Now that I'm working, I don't have any desire to spend my money on expensive grey market substances. I have enough trouble controlling my Magic card acquisition disorder.
