GR's thread reminded me that people like to talk about Football, too!!

As a Cowboys fan, (shush, all of you! :p) I'm always hoping for the best for my boys, but I'm also a realist. They're 2-2 and unlikely to do anything outside of the regular season unless the Giants, Eagles, and Redskins flub it all. As for who'll take it all the way, I haven't been able to follow the other teams very well, but I hear the Texans are doing well, so that'd be cool! ;)

So, who's your team, how're they doing, and who do you think'll take it all the way?

Go niners!

I was expecting them to have a good season after last year's finish one game out of the Super Bowl, but I wasn't expecting them to beat face like they have. I don't think they've faced the toughest opposition so far though, but they face the Giants next. Should be a good game.

Last night's Titans win over Pittsburgh was a surprise.

I'm a fan of the Packers, as stated in Zombie-Gutter...

Patriots Fan here.

We should do pretty well now that we are on track. Division will of course be ours and it will all depend on matchups come playoff time.

Though it is me or is an abnormally high percentage of players under performing this season and thereby completely ruining Fantasy

well that was painful to watch

Vikings fan. I was pretty disappointed yesterday because I think we'e better than the Redskins, but we definitely didn't play like we were. I will admit I'm surprised we are 4-2 at this point but the way we've been playing before yesterday I think we could make a run at a playoff spot which would be a huge improvement over last year. Another solid draft next year and we could be competative for the division

Edit: oh and Percy Harvin is the most underpayed and entertaining player in the game today

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!!

Big game for us today - either we bounce back and remember how to play Football against the only undefeated team in the league (keep in mind Atlanta hasn't beaten a team over .500 yet, and Andy Reid is 13-0 after the bye week), or Michael Pick does what he seemingly does best - give the ball up. What a nice guy he's become.

Damn it. Neither of the things I predicted happened - Matt Ryan just ate up Time of Possession and our defense just blew dog chunks.

:patriot:

Also a Packers fan. Grew up watching the lions, but school in WI... nobody in MI does anything but mock the lions. People in WI go crazy whether they're winning or losing. It's infectious!

Welp, if our Sunday night game was any indication, it might be time to bust out another paper bag and put on my 'Aints shirt.

The Saints defense is the first defense since the 1950's to give up more than 500 yards in 7 straight games.

Give them another week... I highly doubt Philly puts up 500 on them.

I like the Saints, too. And the Packers. Really, I have no problem with any team that's not in our Division :p

I hope I get this new position I applied for so that I can have Sundays off and get to watch some damn football!

big couple games for the vikes. there's no way we're making the playoffs if we don't beat seattle and the lions cause i doubt we can win more than 2/4 games against GB and CHI

Sooo much Green and Gold here, that's perfect.

As far as FFB (which I assume falls under this thread). I'm #1 in the Sally League I'm in (won it overall the first year, made the championship game the next 2, missed the playoffs completely last year) with an awesome dominating force of RG3 and Ray Rice.

I keep shooting myself in the foot in my work league where I'm 4-4. I inexplicably sat Gronk from his WR/TE flex spot last week for Cobb and ended up losing because of it.

And The Eagles have once again fallen into Mediocrity. I feel like I'm back in the 90's.

Giants really put the hurt on the Packers tonight. I told people in preseason that counting on Rodgers in fantasy was going to be a bit dicey this year, but (obviously) having Jennings & the RB situation suffering from injury hasn't helped matters.

Man the forty niners are reallt good at making Drew Brees look like a mediocre qb. They did it in the playoffs last year as well.

the 49ers are a great team. i think it is lulzy that the vikes beat them earlier this year

Still confuses me why Peyton insisted on going to Denver over SF.

because harbaugh is a dick and who can pass up a free bj from john elway?

San Fran is a run-based offense. A lot would've had to change to incorporate Payton.

Can't say I really know the SF offensive scheme, but the tools seemed to be there to allow Peyton much more success. Stronger O-line, workhorse RB (not to say that Moreno isn't), and slightly better WRs, as well as the obvious defense.

At this point in his career, I figure Peyton would like to not have to throw 40-50 passes a game, and having a run-based O would allow him to manage when he doesn't have to go win the game for himself. But without him, SF doesn't have that dimension.

adrian peterson had 210 yards today with a 10/carry avg. the vikings still lost. my solution: fire our offensive coordinator and draft a new qb (or at least trade for alex smith in the offseason)

Your QB is fine, just need to give him time to develop.

My team, on the other hand, lost in the most disappointing way possible... Fumbling with 5 min left after holding the lead for 50 min.

i would gladly take a 3rd round pick for our qb

Alex Smith?

That's the first name you come up with? Please explain.

he's a winning qb that is currently benched? it's either that or try to draft one and that would (probably) mean trading up in the draft

I don't know if anyone saw ESPN First Take today, but Richard Sherman was on and he had a few words (surprise!) for Skip Bayless. It's pretty hilarious.

i am a little worried about his lateral movement and that he might not be as good when he's playing against nfl caliber speed but look at that man dodge....i wouldn't be upset if the vikings got him at #23

Just turn it into the Official NFL thread.

Anyway, Percy Harvin to the seahawks and Anquan Boldin to the 9ers. Discuss

Breaking news: Bills release Ryan Fitzpatrick. People who actually know his name are not surprised.

Harvin will be quite the relvant addition. I have high hopes for Boldin in that system as a productive #1.5-2 receiver, but he didn't break 1k yards this year (admittedly with Flacco having an off mid-season).

Fitzpatrick not surprising.
