Voting for the CI Warrior of the Year 2012

Voting stage for the most heroic CI Warrior.

But first, a little preface:

Originally posted by ein on MTGS
If the mods *really* were serious about quelling drama they would:

1. remove the helpdesks
2. close CI/SYM
3. ban the following people who show up in 25% or more of the major 'drama' threads (as judged by total number of posts):

logicX 7
brandon 6
harkius 6 (special mention also for being nearly top poster in most of the busy helpdesks)
belgareth 5
glimrypost 5
misclick 5
nai 5
teia 4
azrael 3
binary 3
faheyUSMC 3
galspanic 3
kaitscralt 3
kijin 3 (already banned)
kpaca 3 (already banned)
mystery45 3
Scumbag 3 (already banned)
rianalnn 3
senori 3

There's your problem people, yo. Strangely enough, the Gutter people don't show up until the bottom of this list.

Also, mods who quit
because of drama actually make MTGS a *better* place. Like, if you can't figure out that MTGS started *BECAUSE* of drama before you sign up to mod and then are surprised when there's more drama, you shouldn't have been a mod in the first place.
With this said we have the following runners:
1. Azrael: Gloves thread. Nuff said

2. Harkius: Its Harkius, what else is there to add?

3. Viricide: King Spam said it best:
Voted Viricide. He went from a mild mannered dude into a CI warrior overnight
4. LogicX needs no introductions neither

5. rianalnn is as usual a very strong contender of this award

6. ItsZach had a huge hardon on Internet Satan and hounded him relentlessly over CI

7. Which means Internet Satan/"
Zombie" Zach and his spats about moral corruption win him a well-deserved place in here:
If you guys ran this the way that Scumbag did the first time they tried to kill the gutter, I'm almost positive you would be back in the gutter right now, kicking your feet back. [...] No one came out of this looking like an angel.
And finally some user nominations:
8. Teita

9. Senori

10. FaheyUSMC

"Zombie" Zach was less of a C.I. warrior and more of a self-immolationing Monk protesting China's tyrannical rule.

Az the Giant Killer takes it.(Double points for it turning out that he didn't really want Ria gone afterwards)

Btw Shalako, not that it matters since people haven't been discussing your appeal in good faith, but again I am sorry for having hijacked your Mafia account. I interpreted your claims here that you were done with "that" site as a go ahead for using your account, since I thought that if I was caught you'd care less about being banned, but the correct action would have been to ask you instead of just stealing your account.

I still think it was important to voice out our side of the story since we were being slandered hard by staff (Sene with the malicious attacks and Arcadic with the cowards and scumbags) and since (as Kijin put it) its suddenly open season on you and your reputation once you are banned and cannot access the CI subforum anymore.

I'm sorry if I appear to have been caring about being banned.

Obv Harku

I mean he fights for his right to post and then later fights for his right to delete those posts. Don Quixote would be proud.

For me its a tie between Azrael (who made more for MTGS through his battles that all of the current admins through their policies), and Harkius, who has waged war in not one, but two CI forums.

I can't bring myself to read even the most noble of Azrael posts due to length but I know he is a good guy so I can't vote for him here

High quality list, but LogicX is the true CI warrior in my eyes. That dude will mix it up on any topic in CI.

YES! I am about to win my first trophy!
You'd have a "Best Debater" trophy over at MTGS if the nominations hadn't been rigged by their Staff, who summarily suspended whoever nominated you for that award.

And yes, there will be trophies. We just need to make them work first, but you can count on them. (By "We" I mean admin, who does most of the work, :patriot:)

yeah everyone tried voting for you as best masterdebater but the staff thought they were trolling you

“I would like to thank the Academy from the bottom of my heart! I would like to thank Emily Watson and Fernanda Montenegro, and my friend Cate Blancett and the greatest one who ever was, Meryl Streep. I don’t feel very deserving of this in your presence, but I would like to thank Harvey Weinstein and everybody at Miramax Films for their undying support.

“I wouldn’t be in this auditorium, let alone up here, if it wasn’t for two incredibly talented men; our director John Madden, thank you so much for all that you gave me, you are so inspiring, and to my soulful partner, Joseph Fiennes who I share this with.

”I would like to thank the rest of our miraculous cast and crew. Our producers Donna Gigliotti and David Parfitt…I didn’t forget you this time! Especially, Jim McGill and Sophie Shant and my friend Ben Affleck. I would like to thank my wonderful agent Rick Kurtzman, who is a beautiful man and a wonderful agent. And in
his case that is not an oxymoron! I would like to thank Harold Brown, Stuart Gelwarg and Steven Huvane.

“I would not have been able to play this role had I not understood love with a tremendous magnitude, and for that I thank my family; my mother Blythe Danner, who I love more than anything, and my brother Jake Paltrow who is just the dearest person in the whole world.

”My earthly guardian angel Mary Wigmore. And especially to my father Bruce Paltrow who has surmounted many surmountable obstacles this year. I love you more than anything in the world. And to my grandpa Buster, who almost made it here tonight, but couldn’t quite get here. Grandpa, I want you to know that you have created a beautiful family who loves you and loves each other more than anything and we thank you for that. I would like to dedicate this to two young men who lost their lives very early; Harrison Kravis and my cousin Keith Paltrow. We miss you very much and I thank you. Thank you so much everybody!”

In the end, I voted for Brandon/Viricide as an homage to the man, and because he summarizes very well the sad story of 2012 MTGS.

The day he resigned, MTGS lost one of his better moderators and gained one of the more relentless warriors to ever grace CI (oh and also MTGS gained the lapdog as a bottom of the barrel admin, since Viricide resigned because of the lapdog being promoted to admin as a reward for reading all the mod lounge posts).

Viricide was a really great mod and one of the few people who was just a genuinely nice dude.
