Dies to Removal

Hey guys,

I have a question regarding the prowess and heroic mechanics.

Let's say I "cast" a spell, triggering prowess, for example, Monastery Swiftspear.

My opponent then "in response" casts Magma Jet.

Does Swiftspear die, or does it get +1/+1, making it a 2/3 immediately when I cast the spell, thus surviving Magma Jet. I was under the impression that it would survive as prowess triggers immediately upon "casting" spell, but someone was adamant that he's responding before the "trigger" resolves…

Same for Akroan Crusader about whether or not a token spawns or not with Heroic.

Am I wrong?

I think I figured it out that I am wrong, and that the heroic trigger goes on the stack, so you can respond to the heroic trigger on the stack with Magma Jet. I take it, that is the same for the prowess trigger as well (goes on the stack) so someone can respond to the prowess trigger...

You're correct in your second post, every Heroic and Prowess trigger can be responded to with removal.
