I need a deck

I'm going to scg New Jersey in November, and I still don't have a deck, and I'm not looking to put much money into a deck I probably won't play much outside of this event. I'm not looking to finish in the money, but I want to play something that might be able to win a few rounds (so something with a few good match ups, and a number of bad ones).
The thing is, I own pretty much no legacy cards aside from a set of snapcasters, as well as no fetches (so this thing would probably have to be multi-player.
My first choice would be burn, if someone on this site comes through and lends me a few Chain Lightnings and a set of Goblin Guides. I'm not buying those cards just for a tournament in which I plan to scrump out. But seeing as how my borrowing thread request got no attention, I probably can't bet on playing burn.
Are there any really cheap (<$40) rogue decks out there that could maybe steal a few wins
against a popular deck?

I could probably put together the mono green infect deck from m13 standard, swapping in Groundswell and Invigorate. I can't remember whether or not I traded away my Nexuses, though.

I was going to say fetchless Burn...and then Mono Green Infect....welp, I guess my job here is done.

I've never looked into it, but how expensive is manaless dredge? You'll be hugely favored in most game 1's but then post-SB will come down to whether people are expecting much of it that particular weekend.

I don't know the list, but if it uses Lion's Eye Diamonds, you're shit outta luck. They're pretty pricey.

Id just recommend saving your money and grinding side events especially if you don't plan on moneying

Manaless doesn't use LEDs it relies entirely on free spells (although sometimes sides in a bayou)

The payout for side events is decent from what I understand as well (you get a box and I believe scg buys them at around 70, and they will fire when they get enough so....)

You mean the gp right (I know some people who are going and am curious)

Oh yeah, I meant the gp

I also went to FNM for the first time in 6 months last night and did well enough to score myself a pair of Goblin Guides and some other random crap, so it looks like I'll be a burn player soon.

But seriously, if anybody would be kind enough to mail me a few cards for the tourney, I'd be tremendously grateful.

What stuff are you missing

2 guides, a set of Eidolons, a few price of progress and 3 chain lightnings.

Plus maybe bridges, cages and Smash to Smithereens for the side.

I might be able to trade for a lot of that on Deckbox, though.

You don't need cage. It doesn't do damage, draw cards, or prevent you from losing to a T1 or T2 kill.

I've always liked it as an answer to both Elves and graveyard strategies in Painter, but I can see where the criteria changes with burn decks.

Eidolon is you Elves answer. ;)

If you're worried about GY strategies, then there's Relic, Crypt, or Macabre. I prefer either Relic or Macabre.

What are your thoughts on Pyrostatic Pillar in place of Mindbreak Trap? Storm can combo off before you get to play a second land, but Pillar is also much better versus Elves and other combo decks.

Relic since it's useful against RUG Delver and BUG decks. It also cycles.

Macabre is good against the Oops All Spells deck and T1 Ionas and Griselbrands. Macabre is in the "prevent a T1 or T2 kill" category.

If budget is an issue (which it is), then yes. It's an option.

Let's move this discussion to the burn thread.
