Redthirst merely ragequit or something. Madding is more up to date on FoS drama than I am.

Eh still surprised to see them here (not that I want them gone) but it must be our great charm and occasional forum meltdowns

Madding wouldn't even play mono red if he smoked 2 packs a day and wanted a quick match to fit in a couple of smoko breaks

Like I almost considered selling my collection and going on a holiday but just didn't want to eBay it and watch the money trickle in so slowly I just blow it on useless crap

Who knows I might play modern one day if I can wrap my head around the few dozen sets I've missed

Hearthstone is the game for me now, keep hitting legend even though it's basically a grind fest but I realized magic is the same competitively lol

i worried about this new grinder class of magician that wants to win it all and won't be stopped until i destroyed a tournament of them with a deck i moved 6 cards around in after taking a tournament hiatus for 2 years and playing a sum 1/2 a match prior to entering the tournament

Posted: Fri Jan 30, 2015 8:33 pm
by Thrillho
what i'm saying is that hearthstone will keep you sharp or magic players will forever remain at an almost-zero baseline and new players just don't understand what a good magician looks like

I just like the UI and I can play with no pants on

the latter is literally true because one of my early round opponents referred to me as a new player because i said "what?" when i did not hear him compare a play i made to gabriel nassif's play against chapin where he tapped mana for and heart of the cards flipped cruel ultimatum off the top of his deck because i guess not keeping yu-gi-oh anime-like plays in a magic tournament stored in my working memory makes me a lesser planeswalker.

those who do not learn from yu-gi-oh heart of the cards plays are doomed to repeat them.

between the average mtgs poster and the average person who complains about social justice warriors in the magic community
between the average tournament grinder who has absolutely no gauge for his real skill level and the average tournament grinder who has absolutely no gauge for his real smell level

there's someone for everyone to hate.

Fuck all mate

Tourney scenes were always small here anyway, having a big even in each state usually meant there was 80 players tops

Like it's not hard to be a good Aussie mtg player you just have to be a neckbeard and be part of the 2 or 3 main teams

Thunder down under swans was created one night as a joke in a room of 6 of us and that blew up for 3 months before rotation

Cunts would even take pauper decks to pro events to see if they could get top 32 and it would happen

It's a spiritual connection that only can be defined as a soul searching quest where you take a potion and wake up one day in the offices and are considered to be a long lost brother waiting to find a meaning in this cold world
