I'm doing Naya Auras now that MC helps smooth out the mana base, and it doesn't hurt to have new hexproof creatures.

[deck]Creatures (17)
4 Witchstalker
1 Boon Satyr
4 Voice of Resurgence
4 Bassara Tower Archer
4 Gladecover Scout

Spells (21)
2 Ajani, Caller of the Pride
4 Unflinching Courage
4 Madcap Skills
4 Ethereal Armor
4 Boros Charm
3 Selesnya Charm

Lands (22)
4 Temple Garden
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Stomping Ground
4 Temple of Plenty
1 Temple of Abandon
3 Mana Confluence
2 Forest[/deck]

Sideboard is a work in progress, but there's a mix of Gift of Orzhova, FSP, and Mending Touch so far.
I hate you. :stubborn:

Now that I'm sitting down, I can say flamespeaker is actually the business. I haven't tested vs. very many archetypes, but from what I've gathered in the bit of testing I've done, it excels vs. everything but midrange. Against other aggro, FS is obviously amazing, and vs. control, drawing cards is obviously great.

A card I'm interested in trying out is the 3 mana anthem artifact. Anthems are fine regardless, but a 2/4 flamespeaker is just a big game. Splashing another color also seems powerful as this guy benefits greatly from scry and I'd be looking to flip cards other then burn spells and creatures. Like, revealing a thoughtseize has got to be awesome right? Plus, if you go full 2 color, bestowing herald of torment on him just ends the game doesn't it.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

I dont see how flamespeaker is good. You play it t3, ok. You have to hope it isnt walled off, if you have to spend mana to get it through, you might not have mana to cast w/e flips.

Assuming a low curve deck and you hit your 4th land drop, you can generally cast whatever you flip after bolting there guy 95% of the time.

That, and if you're far enough ahead in the game, pumping him with something like a maaka or a warhound creates enough burst damage to put your opponent on the ROPES.

You could also just build around the card if you want. Something like RG aggro with madcap skills, rampager, etc. that compliment your gameplan anyways, if being more all in then some people are comfortable with.

I read a review on it that 1/3 double strike trample alone made a solid card and the card draw just made it stupid good. Is that about right?

The stats make it close(along with the double red mana cost) and the card draw gives it all that potential.

Like, even if the cards a goose egg, there's a lot of room for it to be very good to busted.

18 white sources for Brimaz
22 sources for Boros Reckoner

Not enough red for Stormbreath.

I think the manabase could work (with some tweaking)...

...on the condition that you
are willing to start the game on 10 life.

Maybe play Warleader's Helix?

New BREW!!!

[deck]
Creatures (24)
4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Firedrinker Satyr
4 Hero of Iroas
4 Mogis's Warhound
4 Everflame Eidolon
4 Prophetic Flamespeaker

Spells (14)
4 Boros Charm
4 Madcap Skills
4 Chained to the Rocks
2 Ethereal Armor

Lands (22)
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Temple of Triumph
4 Mana Confluence
10 Mountain[/deck]

Not sure of the mana base or the ethereal armor (prlly a lil too many white spells). Trying to maximize the use of the eidolon by making all lands produce red. Ideas and suggestions are welcome as always :)

I don't understand why Hero of Iroas is in the list. Your bestow creatures are already relatively cheap and so are your other auras.

what do you guys think of Todd Andersons Naya Blitz? Reminds me a hell of a lot like the old one which was really powerful.

[deck]Creatures (28)

4 Burning-Tree Emissary
4 Experiment One
4 Firedrinker Satyr
4 Ghor-Clan Rampager
4 Gore-House Chainwalker
4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Mogis's Warhound

Lands (20)

1 Forest
3 Mountain
4 Mana Confluence
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Stomping Ground
4 Temple Garden

Spells (12)

4 Chained to the Rocks
4 Boros Charm
4 Lightning Strike

Sideboard

3 Boros Reckoner
4 Skylasher
3 Searing Blood
2 Skullcrack
3 Glare of Heresy[/deck]

Seems powerful and mana is just like the old deck and that worked. You do a shitload of damage to yourself with the lands though...could make it very weak in the aggro mirror like the original deck was.

Was trying to do things like play multiple bestow creatures a turn or like bestow and then chain on turn 3. Or even enchant with madcap and hold up boros charm on t3. The cost reduction helps, even if the auras are already cheap

If I'm playing a Naya deck like that I'd rather play Naya Hexproof. I wonder if Jund aggro would just be better.

Yeah fuck hexproof I'm not playing that shit.

This is basically mono-red splash green and white for the most part. Very red at its core aside from Exp1.

I was thinking about Jund too...

Could run the new black 2/1 instead of one of the 1-drops possibly... He would be as easy to cast as Exp1 but it would hurt the green slightly for GHC. Exp1 maximizes BTE though.

Rest of the creature base seems hard to change.. Don't want to cut 1-drops or stuff to BTE into.

I'd want Spike Jester, which would I guess go over one of the spells? Don't want to cut any creatures.

Maybe cut Boros Charm for Spike Jesters and then Chains for a few Dreadbore and something else like Rubblebelt Makka

Much easier to cast Reckoner in Naya though and Chaind is a nasty temp play compared to Dreadbore.

I am not quite sure if Black is worth it.

If you play Jund, your committing to a bigger deck which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'd start with this:

[deck]4 Experiment One
4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Burning-Tree Emissary
3 Mogis Warhound
2 Gore-House Chainwalker
4 Spike Jestor
1 Scavenging Ooze
4 Dreg Mangler
2 Varolz, The Scar Tipped
4 Ghor-Clan Rampager
2 Exava, Blood Witch

2 Lightning Strike
1 Dreadbore

4 Blood Crypt
4 Stomping Ground
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Mana Confluence
7 decisions[/deck]

It looks like a solid 57 + 3 possibly horrible value cards. Just the way I like it.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

I think UW gets a lot better with Mana confluence. You probably shave 2 temples and some islands for the confluences so that you can more consistently cast your 2-drops on time while still having your splash mana. The white splash also makes the mirror a bye if they're just mono-blue since you have deicide and they don't.

My old Jund aggro should work much better now with Mana Confluence, maybe someone can help test it out?

[deck]Creatures

No. No. Maybe.

It's kind of a sledgehammer deck, as noted by all but the singleton Keranos having haste. I feel like the decks wants to do bigger things than eek out incremental value with Young Pyromancer. This isn't a tempo deck, it's a BLOW YOUR FACE OFF deck.
