Exactly what you think it is, think modern masters, but the premium slot is one foil card or power nine.
It is online only.
Discuss.
So I guess this is their way of saying "PLEASE PLAY ETERNAL FORMATS ONLINE"

We will be revealing more specifics about Vintage Masters, including set size and distribution of Power Nine cards as we get closer to the release date.

Not interesting to me, even as an online player.

I think most of the greater magic population could have figure that out.

I'm interested, if this means that they will start supporting large vintage tournaments online cause I used to love playing type 1 and only stopped because interest was so low and prize supported tournaments were scarce in my area

I'm only 23 but I learned how to play magic when I was 5. Started playing competitively at 13 and I used to play type 1 at the local shop but they stopped holding the tournaments because they were getting like 15 people to play for a mox and it wasn't worth it to them

That sucks
Although 15 people is probably the grand total of people in the US whom can actually play sanctioned vintage.

i can play sanctioned vintage all day. I just need WOTC to donate a few vintage booster boxes to their homie.

Every 1000th pack of Vintage Masters comes with a nude photo of Scarlet Johansen in place of the foil, so... good luck?

I think you're implying this is a bad thing, but I see nothing wrong with any of that.

When I feel like playing Vintage, I just play Duels of the Planeswalkers: Shandalar.

I don't always play vintage but when I do it is with 9 mountains and 31 bolts.
I don't always play vintage but when I do it is with 50 proxies I made with islands and a sharpie.

A buddy of mine went on a lengthy tangent about why I should use garbage commons over basics as proxies
The gist was "lands are actually useful"
Posted: Wed Jan 29, 2014 9:10 pm
by imopen2
That's stupid because crap commons now may be worth something in the future.
But what you should actually do is write on little slips of paper and slip them into cases over cards. That's what I used to do at least.
Anyways, have they said anything more about this? I want to break out the smokestacks

It happened to me with remands

Remand? You mean that card that was heavily played in Standard at the time? That's just silly.

Don't get me wrong, I've given away my share of Cursecatchers, but I only use the best grade A premium jank for my proxies, yessir.

I was 14 and it was week one of the set that I used them. Not sure why. I also remember hearing that skullclamp was worth $6 and looked around my room, found 4 of them and promptly trade them for a wrath of god

I'm pretty sure I have a dozen aven mindcensors in my room somewhere. Didn't realize they were $10 till I had to buy them online last night

Plus, even though remands we're playable, they were still like 25 cents. I don't remember a common or uncommon that cost more than skullclamp did until I came back to magic and saw what you bastards did to the secondary market
