I'm psyched for the return of Agent Phil Coulson and the on-screen debut of Luke Cage.

My girlfriend is uber excited for this show, she is much more into Marvel than I am.

I personally don't think Agent Coulson is a good enough character for such devoted screentime as a television series -- he worked as a pop-up comic relief variant in all the movies, not a mainstay.

I was more sad that it wasn't actually Luke Cage. I didn't know that Whedon had revealed that already.

All-in-all, I think it was a good-very good first episode and they've got my attention for atleast the first season.

I still haven't seen Iron Man 3, so that connection was lost on me.

I'm a fan of Marvel comics and the movie properties and I thought it was a great first show. As I said before, the Pilot convinced me to give it at least a season. If the show goes downhill, oh well, but I think the premise for the show is strong and I could see it having a Secret Warriors feel to it (If you haven't read that book, go get it now).
