They missed out by not doing video coverage, IMO. It sounded like a great event.
Standard hobos who play budget garbage should be looked upon with suspicion.

There was a modern event and it was pretty cool. The top 16 is pretty sick player-wise. There is a shitload of Jund-ish decks though (6 in the top 8). There was a pretty big backlash on social media about the lack of coverage. The reasoning was that they have limited resources to spend on coverage, so they chose not to expose their delicate equipment to the hostile indigenous hunter-gatherer populations of Detroit and cover a bunch of limited GPs instead.

Hey, you know, it makes total sense. They're trying to push Modern as a format, and really get it off the ground. So why in the world would they give coverage of a Modern event with many high-profile names, that by all accounts ended up being very exciting?
