There's no way we should have lasted as long as we did

I'm disappointed my team killed Suga, because he was our best chance of winning. :/

Oh well. GG sort of?

So I guess we pulled that one out of our asses. Fate, you have no right to call anyone retarded. They are, but your play Day 3 was horrible too. It's a shame I was busier than normal that week. I'm pretty sure I could have done a better job explaining why lynching Lord McD's was idiotic. You know, like rezombad did, except that I would place my vote where my arguments told me to instead of ignoring them completely to vote LMD (like rezombad did). :glee:

Suga, did you figure HowlingMad wouldn't use his commuter ability, or did you just choose not to make a kill? And yeah, why did Gamma die? You guys figure he was just trying really hard to avoid a night kill?

Anyway, fun game, crazy times. I'm interested in reading the mafia QT.

I tried to kill HowlingMad. I actually completely missed the post where Spam said he couldn't be targeted.

I want to know why Spam double-crossed me though.

The worst part is that I actually contemplated double-crossing Spam and killing him. :(

Town plays badly. SK plays badly. Mafia loses. Seems legit. :cool2:

Rezombad has been lynched.

Congrats to the town for a Town Victory!

We double crossed you because you started killing scum instead of town on nights 2/3 so we couldn't count on your consistency. Day 4 also ended before you could "confirm" the NK plan I laid out, making it that much more suspect that you would help us.

Also, I can't believe you missed HM claiming commuter on day 3 plus me repeatedly mentioning that on day 4.

I say we declare a three-way tie.

Day 1: We actually had everything mapped out pretty well in our scumchat. We were originally going to kill Nuwen night 1 since she was painfully town but Manders couldn't see it. But then Manders replaced out which destroyed the huge day 2 town v town fight we anticipated.

GR was nightkilled instead of Nuwen since he all-but-claimed due to his overconfidence day 1. We Jailed Khaddafi but Suga used his one-shot unstoppable, which actually worked out for both the Mafia and the SK.

Day 2: We planned to mislynch Yanni from day 1 since he's the easiest mislynch ever since all his posts are scummy regardless of alignment. We even started calling him our "Honorary Scum."

But that point we were trying to weed out the SK so we formulated a plan to kill Gammagooey since he was an unknown factor. We made this plan before he claimed miller but after he claimed we
followed through with it anyway just to be sure he wasn't the SK.

Day 3: Nuwen should have come forward immediately instead of trying to dance around her cop PR. It totally undermined her claim. Since both Iso and I were effectively caught, our only option was to go into 'full buddy' mode. Luckily, Nuwen and Fate began raving and posting in caps which made them lose lots of credibility. It also hurt that Fate's participation didn't pick up until day 3, making his claim that much more suspect.

We killed Stardust on night 3 so he couldn't confirm himself with his ability. He's also the most painfully obvious townie ever.

Day 4: Then Suga killed Iso which baffled Rez and I. At that point our best option was simply to threaten him. Ironically, him ignoring HM's claim actually gave the game to the helpless town. Otherwise the mafia would have won at the beginning of day 5.

I wouldn't give an MVP to anyone from any faction since all sides
played awkwardly. Not badly, per se, just awkwardly. The SK started to screw the scum who then blackmailed the SK who inadvertently gave the game to the town as a result of not reading the commuter's claim while the town mislynched a bunch and ignored PR results.

Our 1000+ post scumchat is hilarious though, you all should read it since we had a blast.

I knew Fate and Nuwen were the same alignment and I thought they were town, but I needed to off more town first. My plan from the end of day 1 was to try to win with the mafia.

I feel that I had a big part in screwing over the town in this game and I'm glad it worked out in the end. I still think it would have been totally different if fate and nuwen had not gone caps lock on the bit, but when you know you're telling the truth and no one believes you it can be very frustrating.

The one thing I learned from this game is that the town should never trust my reads. I'm actually going AGAINST my reads from now on.

SKs don't claim miller

yeah my play wasn't stellar, but when it came down to an elementary processing fo night actions at least I didnt go for a balls deep lynch the confirmed townie who has a guilty

And no, being mad isn't a scumtell. If you get better at reading motivations for why someone is mad, you'll get better at this day. I stand by my D3 play (d1 and d2 were pretty horrible, I wish I had stuck to my guns on Kaze), because anyone who knows would see I was painfully town by those series of escalating frustration.

It was spambolic and iso's uncharacteristic nonchalance that should've given away that they were screwed. Scum don't actually run around screaming when they are caught, they keep it cool and spout bullshit like politicians.

Game made me realize that I depend waaaay too much on reputation to get things done. I became very frustrated when people didn't realize things that I thought obvious, but frustration isn't a mindset for good dialog.

In my experience, passion is sourced from town who lack the tools or support to influence the game. Why would scum go off the deep end for no apparent reason?

I didn't claim immediately because I had cop shots left, and scum didn't appear interested in shooting me. I thought someone might pick up on my guilty and claim it for me. The massclaim broke the setup regardless.

The setup was choked with too much power. The town's daytime reads were quite poor, but night resolution carried the town to victory because results eliminated a bunch of team paradigms. The third party outed himself too early. Killing the miller (effectively vanilla) was a poor choice, but certainly not as poor as lynching the
two-way confirmed McDonald.
