I wanted to succeed in the challenge so much I have stopped being lazy and actually bothered to travel when I get the call ~ it wasn't like I was going to sleep easy anyway.

Hey guys, as suggested by some of you in the other thread, do any of you have IT skills? Basically we have the new domain diestoremoval.com bought a while ago, but I must admit that up to now I haven't been able to bind it to the server IP (due to lack of knowledge, my background is in general engineering). Anyone capable (and willing) to give me a hand on this? Something like handling the bind9 protocol in linux(debian), tweaking the apache server httpd.conf file, etc... I've been trying to learn about the bind protocol, but progress has been slow due to a busy work schedule. I do have a feeling its a trivial stuff to do for someone who has done it before. I have set up a dummy forum on another server I maintain, I could give full access to test t there.

I'm testing the Rw deck I'll take to the PTQ all day today, and most of tomorrow. I'm going to do the smart thing, and not play FNM when I have to be up at 7am on Saturday. Sleep is good, after all.

Actually, it still seems to be state of mind. I have been woman-less for well over a year (my God...I think it may be closer to two...) but the porn and fapping this is still, honestly, an addiction thing. I really didn't think about it 'til Master Hamwise brought the challenge online, but once I did, I recognized the pattern of behavior. Since closing that particular door, the urge left along with the habit (after the first week or so of obvious frustration). Of course,
things like redthirst's bit of good-natured sabotage over in the restricted area get my attention, but I feel like I have a choice rather than being a slave to impulse. Kinda like walking past the donuts that someone brought to work the other day.

The other important impact, that I think is all to the good, is getting out of the habit of objectifying women. If you stop and think about porn as an industry at all in the context of any woman that you actually care about, it's nauseating to think about what it does to women. I know that there is an elective side to the industry that focuses away from self-destruction, but some of the foreign (to the US) markets are just scary. The mindset of women as receptacles can hose relationships...it's one thing to share in deep, healthy passion and debauchery, but another to let women become something less than individual beings.

Wow...didn't mean to come off so serious...I think I just learned a few things about my own shifting head.
