The legend of the Headless Horseman begins in Sleepy Hollow, New York during the American Revolutionary War. Traditional folklore holds that the Horseman was a Hessian artilleryman who was killed during the Battle of White Plains in 1776. He was decapitated by an American cannonball, and the shattered remains of his head were left on the battlefield while his comrades hastily carried his body away. Eventually they buried him in the graveyard of the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow, from which each night he rises as a malevolent ghost, furiously seeking his lost head.

The new logo is way cooler when you consider the favicon form and all the ways in which it can be exploited as brand identity.

Apparently the gloves have come off in Venezuela
And to think, it all started because a relatively innocent public service venue was purchased by a larger, unpopular corporation, who lost no time in backing the more fascist policies of their even more unpopular employee decisions, eventually squelching any and all dissent regardless of the relative merit or logical sense that those dissenting voices brought to the public's purview.
...God, if only there were some corollary we could draw between what's happening there and something that is closer to home for the readers of this website. Ah, well, nothing comes to mind, that's too bad.

By the way, the weather sucks here. I'm not generally the type of person to get involved in internet pissing contests, but when I look out my window (or rather, the top 1/3 of my window 'cuz the rest is blocked with snow), I can't help but feel Atlanta doesn't have much of a leg to stand on, weather-suckage-wise.
