Sorry Onar, but I can I have no respect for the morally corrupt people who banned a bunch of decent people just to cover their lies and are still patently incapable of reversing their illegitimate decisions almost one year after the ordeal.

Specially since they seem to have not learned anything with that debacle, and insist on making the same mistakes over and over again.

my point is leave them be , you have this site and to extent mine to worry about , why comment about them every 20 min?

because its funny

You guys probably won't believe me, but GRRRRRRRRRRRR is basically the same as it was in N_S's time. Probably more reigned in if anything since the senior staff have reprimanded a few mods for taking the venting too far. I'm sure users have been flamed before... but usually the reprimands (or gentle steering of the conversation) have happened before it gets to that point. It's really pretty tame.
I don't believe that. Not after the blatant flaming that has occurred there directed at specific users.

It's really not the monster people have been led to
believe, man. It really is just a general spam thread, not disimilar to this one.

I've read it. Most of it is spam. Some of it is blatant flaming that would be infracted in a minute if it were anyone else doing it.

Yeah, but it was designed specifically for that purpose.

Yeah, but it was designed specifically for that purpose.
And don't you think it's directly lead to the complete us vs them mentality that nearly all prominent mods have?

I mean, GRRRRR was OK and pretty tame in the days of old. What ruined it was the us vs. them mentality that took a firm foothold in the mod lounge. But again it was ruined alongside other things so...

Consider it a symptom of a bigger problem.

I do have information that its very tame these days because they are self-censoring themselves after being pointed out the hypocrisy of shitting on people behind closed doors after nuking a subforum for those same accusations, but that didn't seem to improve the thread, instead turning it into a cesspool of mediocrity just for mindless spamming.

It isn't surprising though, stifling discussions (even your own) instead of reforming your misguided ways tends to do that to the quality of a discussion form when its actually you who is in charge.

Yeah, but it was designed specifically for that purpose.
was designed for spam and went far worse.

They locked the gutter and banned many for the exact same thing.
difference one got better before the other.
Sadly it was the one that got punished.

Directly? No. The problem comes in when it replaces active participation in the forums.

It is just that simple. This conversation is not productive.
The issue hasn't changed actually, its this damn userbase constantly abusing and harassing the poor staff.

Poor guys just can't hold the fort and at the same time handle any criticism at all, just stop guys. post some ponies or some yomako hug smileys instead, don't you guys have any respect for the staff?

Now THIS bugs me, because when they ARE given a slackening in the drama they don't seem to do anything with it.

obviously when they are not being actively harassed in helpdesks, they catch up on their backlog of tears shed in the mod lounge over userbase harassment issues. Only after this could they actually think about improving the site, but that's another story

I'm sure it's just been pushed to less obvious places or via PM. The people doing it haven't been replaced.

If they didn't have drama, they couldn't justify their existence. Which is why the go out of their way to stir up drama.

They actually have a "lifeboat" forum which officially serves the purpose of a lifeboat when the main site is down. I'm sure the talk about helpdesk warriors can manage to survive somehow.

Well, there is that problem, yes. Now that most of the mod-level discussion has been pushed back to off-site communication, once you're a mod even when you're no longer a mod you're... still a mod.

And thanks to the little birdie, here's the fun part of the message!
Dear mastergee,

You have received a infraction.

Reason: Flaming, Trolling or Other Forms of Misbehavior
-------
You know exactly what you're doing when you're referring to Teia as a "he". It's trolling. Don't.

Thanks,
-Sene

You should tell Sene you were just telling the truth. It's not flaming if you're just telling the truth.

Hell, that's not even an opinion.

And he can't even call you a liar without getting infracted. Oh, wait. He's a mod, nevermind.
