I wasn't specifically playing around it. It was more to emphasize that Force was the only answer he could realistically have for the Blast.

Since I'm beginning to amass a collection on MTGO, this is where I'm heading for Legacy online. Any pointers would be great.

[deck]
Creature 8
4 Goblin Guide
4 Eidolon of the Great Revel

Burn 30
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Rift Bolt
4 Lava Spike
4 Chain Lightning
4 Price of Progress
4 Fireblast
3 Searing Blaze
3 Flame Rift

Enchantment 2
2 Sulfuric Vortex

Land 20
4 Arid Mesa
16 Mountain

Sideboard 15
3 Searing Blood
3 Smash to Smithereens
3 Pyrostatic Pillar
3 Relic of Progenitus
3 Vexing Shusher
[/deck]

Not being able to afford Tarns, Bridges or Mindbreak Traps kinda sucks but I think I can manage with this for the time being. The Shusher spot could probably be REB/Pyroblast. Thoughts?

I think you'd be better off exchanging 2 mountains for a lavaman and a flame rift, but maybe that's just because 18 land is all I've known.

Shusher is for Stoneblade/Deathblade and Miracles, I assume?
In theory, he's a bit worse. He's a late game card that will probably just eat spot removal, whereas a REB can get rid of a counterbalance or eat a counterspell. Since we have more burn spells than they have counterspells, if we force them to use counterspells rather than spot removal, we have a better shot of resolving enough burn spells to win.

Trust me, it's a hard fight to tackle Miracles with JUST a REB. Shusher can at least attack and send some uncounterable damage through.

I prefer 20 land. The 4 fetches may thin it out a bit.

The main deck looks fine. You might want to look into Wooded Foothills or Bloodstained Mire if you want extra fetch lands. I am not sure you need the Pillars on top of the Eidolons but that is a meta call, especially if you don't have Traps. If you lack Bridges, get some Ashen Riders or something else you can bring in via Show and Tell.

I am not overly a fan of Lavaman these days but you probably can feed a single one even without fetches.

This was my thought. I'll probably go through enough spells to give him enough activations to win me the game (2-3), but I'm not entirely sure that I need him.

Speaking of Italian cards: was Legends heavily printed on Italy? Because I think I've seen more Italian Chain Lightnings on Deckbox than English ones.

Italian legends suffered less printing/distribution errors (that set in particular is hard to collect in English for that reason, this why it's so expensive) in addition to its formatting/font looking like complete ass

[deck]possible list[/deck]

That gives me 5 slots in the main and 4 in the side.
[deck]possible inclusions for main[/deck]
1 Price of Progress (#4)
1 Mountain (#18)
1 Grim Lavamancer
2 Searing Blood (taking one out of the side)
1 Sulfuric Vortex (#3)
2 Keldon Marauders (I don't like these very much)
1 Pyrostatic Pillar (I like to live dangerously :p )
roughly in order of likeliness to include
[/deck]

[deck]potential sideboard cards[/deck]

Wow, I'm still really undecided on all this shit.

You don't want to bring it in against RUG Delver. You already have Eidolon main.

Man, I completely forgot about Ashen Rider!
With these types of cards, I'm just always afraid that you have to dedicate more of your sideboard space than a certain match up deserves in order to see it at the right time. It also sucks that you really can't afford to heavily mulligan into anything.

It's a necessary evil at times. Criteria #3: It keeps you from losing in turns 1-3. Obviously Bridge is universally better since it works against other decks.

Nope. Searing Blaze is the first choice. It's hard enough to run 4 maindeck creature-only kill spells, but the payoff is totally worth it when you're up against fair decks. When you're up against a combo deck, you only have 4 dead cards as opposed to 4+.

Now, I'm pretty sure that you want to run Searing Blood OVER Searing Blaze and I don't think it's a good idea. I've been running 20 land fetchless for a little bit online (just last week, I believe, was when I got my Mesas finally) and rarely did I have an issue casting Blaze for the full 3 damage. When I couldn't get 3 out of it, it still wasn't so bad since most creatures I was trying to kill were x/
1's. I wouldn't recommend running a set of Blazes with less than 20 land, however.

The beauty of Blaze is that when you're against creatures with big asses, like Tarmogoyfs or Knights of the Reliquary, it's guaranteed damage (which is what you want).

I think you'd be better off exchanging 2 mountains for a lavaman and a flame rift, but maybe that's just because 18 land is all I've known.

Nope. Mountain is my strongest card. I actually like to cast my spells and hit my landfall triggers for casting Searing Blaze.

Fetchless, I prefer Blood over Blaze but I would never put Blood in the main. I run fewer lands so landfall is a bit harder for me to guarantee, hence the lack of Blazes.

[deck=71/75]
Land
18 Mountain
2 Barbarian Ring

Creatures
4 Eidolon of the Great Revel
4 Goblin Guide
1 Grim Lavamancer

Noncreature Spells
2 Sulfuric Vortex
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Chain Lightning
4 Price of Progress
4 Fireblast
4 Flame Rift
4 Lava Spike
4 Rift Bolt

Sideboard
3 Pyrostatic Pillar
2 Pyroblast
2 Ensnaring Bridge
2 Searing Blood
3 Smash to Smithereens
[/deck]
That's 1 open slot in the main and 3 in the side
Only 2 of both Bridge and Pyroblast as of now because, while they are strong against many decks, I don't really like diluting our plan with reactive cards.
I think I want some number of Relic of Progenitus in the side, but I'm not sure.

Thoughts?

I'd go with a second Lavamancer and cut a Ring for a Mountain just because the Ring isn't bros with Price, Fireblast, and Lavamacer. Relic is a fine choice for shrinking Tarmogoyfs (so you can pick them off with Lavamancer), hindering Dredge and Snapcaster, and cycling for more Burn.
