Opened 4 modern master boosters i won some time ago. Fulminator, Nexus, Surgical, All is Dust. Could have gone better but also a lot worse, i can't complain (my expectations were 4 endrek sahr)

Good luck everyone in Vegas. May all your results slips have you in an X-2 bracket.

I psyched myself up for a midnight MM draft last night, my first paper event since the early days of Rev, then I realized what a terrible mistake I was making and fell asleep at 9 instead

I will never waste money on booster packs, the price is too high .... though one of my friends bought a box and there were 3 tarmogoyf plus obviously a lot of other stuff .... but i think this happens one out of a million times

Went to 2 MM drafts, opened a Mox and a Spellskite : 60e for the drafts, 60e of value.

First draft was with 10 people, I managed to get 5 Thiefs of Hope into a full Arcane/Spirit deck. Lost in finals to very aggressive GW featured Mirran Crusader.
This kind of strategy is only possible with 8+ people, as well as all other Tribals I think.
Then a 6 people draft, we were all playing bad decks with a lot of fillers.

That's good since 100% of everyone's drafts who aren't you will have 8 people

Unless you're at the Pro tour. Then they'll try to put you in a pod of six.

Buddy of mine drafted 2 emrakuls, and 7 rampant growths

I'm not sure if that's a thing but may as well make the most of that foil emrakul

Drafted MM2 two times, made top 8 with Jund midrange the first time, splitted in the finals with UW affinity on the second attempt.
Between my packs and the prizes I found absolutely nothing worth the trouble, but the set is fun.

I don't think you should play Emrakul, let alone 2

a kid played in a different draft pod and the bulk of the pod was hemming and hawing because he didn't know what he was picking, also opened a deathmist raptor, and wasn't entirely clear on the rules of the game. approximately one of those people actually wrote down the phases of a turn and helped explain what a board state was. most of the people were loudly bitching at him.

the kid was approximately 12.

magic players, am i right.

The idea of doing a draft when you don't know the cards or the rules or the game is really funny

No, it was too expensive after I looked at hotel and flights/driving. I wanted to go, but trying to arrange a shared hotel last minute seemed unlikely.

Are you rolling with LP's group?

he apparently had played 4 times before, but clearly had played yu gi oh or something because someone yelled at him for trying to attack his creatures or something. the whole thing made me feel embarrassed for adults who play magic and humanity in general.
but not for my wallet because i cashed out that tournament so hard.

That sucks.

Yeah, I'll be staying at the Westgate with his crew. I'm trying to convince one of them to scoop me from the airport.
