I can't find a decklist for Hoogland's Temur Moon deck, just some tweets about him making Top 8. What was the deck doing? I see a Vedalken Shackles and a Tarmogoyf on an archived SCG stream. Is it Blue Moon + Goyf?

I'd like to see the face of people expecting you're playing a FoS deck and instead your first play is "Opulent Palace - Go"
Reactions ranged from exasperation, dejection, utter shock, and from my friend who happens to also play a lot of red decks, disappointment.

The joke was on me though since I got paired against the mirror in round 1 and lost to some scrub with a mono red deck featuring powerhouses like Minotaur Skullcleaver.

I dropped from the PTQ yesterday at 4-2 since even though I felt good about my odds of winning out, I had higher EV team drafting with friends and I was able to secure a modo deck(abzan agro).

We managed to successfully give our other friends 3-1 odds and take there mono after crushing them. I somehow managed to get 8 lands, 2 of which where tri-lands and had 4 color perfect mana. Deck had 2 snowhorn riders, 2 abominations of gudal, dead drop, atarka, pyrotechnics, and woolly loxodon for heavy hitters. Teamates played UG barely sultai and RW agro. Other guys had 2 abzan decks and jeskai. We decided to play all the games and took it 6-3 with 1 player having all there wins.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Josh I'm so glad you talked me out if replying to every comment after Cruise was banned, though I think the guy saying I should be fired and that Hatebears would rule the format deserved a response.
If you're a writer, the best responses to criticism at least for magic writers is:

The Flores's approach: ignore everything cause fuck 'em.

The Silvestri approach: Light hearted trolling for value.

The Sperling/rietzel approach: polite responses that make your critics look like man-children because they're mad on the internet while you continue to live happily as a successful adult.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

I only saw it on my stores facebook group page. I'd be interested in seeing how other people perceive.

I look at it as a 4/6 deatouch demonic tutor. It both profitably fights siege rhino, while tutoring for siege rhino if you want it to. Adds even more value to satyr wayfinder. Also combos well with sidisi 1.0

I think it is very good. Hopefully the mechanic pushes a sacrifice themed deck as a competitive strategy as I tend to like that style of play.

If you look closely at the art for the new Silumgar, you'll see Tasigur dangling from his neck chain.

Tezzert appears on Tarkir with a full liquid etherium-alloy body. He chases Ugin and Sarkhan through a ravine on motorcycle.

In this analogy, the part of SkyNet is played by Nicol Bolas.

It is a Cryptic Command in as much as your opponent manually missing a land drop is a reprint of Time Walk.

Anyone with experience using FFSplit to record MODO for Youtube? I'm recording in 720P but my youtube videos are coming out shitty. I'm sure there is a setting I missed somewhere. A video for reference:
