The problem, aside from the subjective nature of the valuations, is hat the categories are taken as equal importance, which they're not.

Makes me less worried about a PT at least.
that's like winning the lottery, then having the money taken away and saying "well at least i don't have to spend all that money"
Nah I had real fears I'd be outclassed at this level. I'm certainly at the level below the top players but am better than random guys who spike invites. I've made a lot if connections to great players and people and will have more opportunities in the future.

I thought you meant, "we didn't get a PT invite, so I don't have to worry about going to the PT"
what you meant was, "I proved to myself I am ready for the PT"
now i see

In EDH, those are the things that matter to me.

Dat awkward moment when the modern tournament you've been preparing for turns out to be standard.

It's ok LD, just take your Commander pre-con, the power level should be right on

The stock list, or the one I modded? Lol
I had my standard deck with me. Not the end of the world.

I'm much better at standard than modern anyway. Works out.

Current edh playgroup:
Me: Zegana, Animar and NivMizzet.
Guy 2: Prosh, 5 color planeswalkers with Cromat, Edric, Oona, Sissay, Narset
Guy 3: Zirilin, Hanna and Skithryx
Guy 4: Azusa, Krenko, and Oloro
Guy 5: Derevi, Teferi PW, Erebos, Khalia and Elsh Norn.
Guy 6: Riku and Melek
Red is definitely the "weakest" color in EDH.
Id rank them : Black - Blue/Green - White - Red

Red's the weakest color, but it mono red decks are better than mono white or mono green decks.

Mono White is definitely better than Mono-Red. I don't know how you can possibly argue this.
Everything that makes red good in constructed is garbage in EDH / Multiplayer.

by Purp
I am speaking for multiplayer here: Mono Red can really only be built one style, which is a control style deck (our zirilin deck does this very well). I think this for sure makes Mono Red better than Mono White in multiplayer, but mono white can do some broken stuff... destroy lands into land tax, our elsh norn deck is pretty powerful. Mono Green is definitely powerful, Kamal, Azusa even Titania makes pretty strong decks.

Mono White Control >>>>>>>> Mono Red Control.

Norin the Wary. I don't know how you can argue against this.

1v1, all that matters is deck consistency. Blue is the best by far, with black and green being close second. White and red are equally terrible. Multiplayer, blues probably still the best with all the powerful combo generals. Whites pRobably the worst for lacking a good general.

Honestly, this should be how your chart looks for shit that matters in EDH:
1: General. This nigga is important
2/3: draw consistency/volume. Consistency would be preordains and ponders, volume would be concentrate and harmonizes.
4: Velocity. How fast does your deck come online. Can you combo kill turn 4? Do play a bunch of mana excel to get the ball rolling? Are you mono-sweepers to gain control?
5: Powerlevel. How good are your actual cards. If you have a consistent synergy based deck, powerlevel isn't as important hence this is the least important element. Unlike normal constructed formats, you can't really have a competitive 'goodstuff' deck because there tends to be a lot of combo, and EVERYONE has CA engines somewhere in there deck.

Things I learned from my first PPTQ:
1) PPTQs are more similar to PTQs than to GPTs
2) PTQ end bosses are there. Highly competitive
3) Very low EV
4) PTQs are an even worse way to qualify for PTs now
5) PPTQs are not worth travelling to imho. Don't travel any further than you would for a GPT

This confirms everything I thought, except for 4.
4 I think depends on your region. If you live anywhere on the east coast for instance, they are MUCH worse then the old system.

Yeah this is the boat I'm in here in Boston. I've Top 16'd a couple PTQs but never reached the promised land. Having to get through all the quality players grinding both PPTQs and, if I win one, the Regional, isn't easy. Especially with most of my attention on Law School now.
