But legacy and modern are the same now.
4 Young Pyromancer and 4 Treasure Cruise won the Modern and Legacy GP's today.

BUT MODERN AND LEGACY... THEY'RE DIFFERENT?!?!?

Went the LGS to play commander and learn dice masters today, but someone called my advice stupid when I was trying to help them build there sealed deck, so I joined the tourney and won it out of spite.

Booty includes 2 dig through times, foil siege rhino, wooded foothills, crackling doom, and pearl lake ancient between pool and prizes.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Sultai Ascendancy's pretty unfair. It's like sensei divining top every turn, only you don't have to look at the same garbage all the time.

Well, GP is over aside from the drive home. Very mixed bag. The actual tournament was a disaster. I spent way too much money and traded too many cards but I added many foils to my Legacy Burn deck.

2x Onslaught Wooded Foothills
1x Scalding Tarn
4x Flame Rift
1x Smash to Smithereens
3x Scourge Sulfuric Vortex
9x Unhinged Mountain (8 signed)
1x Mindbreak Trap

John Avon was a pretty chill dude considering what he went through there. Waited 3 hours in line on Sunday for the last few lands.

I spent 60$ in gas and 35$ on the entry fee for the scg 5k iq and hit the 50$. Then I got stuck in ditch and had to pay a tow guy 150$. Good weekend.

The IQ I did well in this last weekend I had never seen so many angry nerds in one place holy shit.
I didn't think there were so many angry nerds in the competitive mtg scene but damn! I guess I didn't notice until I started winning and doing well.
Definitely worth the trip. Some A+ rage.

Be really fucking thankful that you aren't in Buffalo right now. The compacted snow comes up to my shoulders and the drifts are well over my head. It is so bad that even our biggest plows are getting stuck and now even emergency services aren't plowed out yet.

Yeah, you don't get snow like this. According to Wiki, your blizzard back in 1999 dropped 46.6" of snow over two weeks which easily counts as a metric fuckton of snow. My town (Lancaster) just got 54" in 24 hours and it is still coming down. We are even getting "thundersnow", snowstorms accompanied by lightning. There are reports of another 2 feet coming my way as well. "Lake Effect" has a pretty specific meaning to us (meaning get ready to hunker down because another blizzard is coming). Hilariously, the Buffalo Airport (6 miles away by car, closer to 4 miles away in a straight line) has only seen about 6".

Note: I am not trying to start a pissing contest, just saying that "I am from Canada, lol" does not qualify as understanding the enormity of the storm that is still hitting us.

Yeah, we are in some peril here. There are serious questions about the structural integrity of older roofs with this much snow on them. Even emergency services are shut down since the plows can't make it down the road, much less ambulances or fire/police. Some departments have snowmobiles but they are limited and not exactly the safest way to transport injured/dying patients.

Edit: Unless I have a heart attack shoveling (even my insane snowblower chokes on this), I will survive. My roof is strong and I have enough provisions to last a few weeks.
