LP, just how hard is it to master Affinity? Drop some dudes, makes some blue manas, and put Ensoul on a Darksteel Citadel. ;)
Khaos, let me know if you can't see this link.

I can.

It's 95% copper. That's gotta be close enough. Else when you melt it down they should just separate like oil and water, right?
No, they'll be in solution. You'll have to get the 5% to react with something if you want to get pure copper (no idea what else is in there (maybe zinc or tin?), but that shouldn't be too hard since copper is relatively unreactive). Copper wiring is over 99% pure (often 99.99% pure according to the interwebs), so you won't be getting full price without refinement.

This is all good information to have.

I'm totally going to get rich off this.

Seriously, all you have to do is buy an arbitrarily large number of pennies. If they're not the mint dates you're looking for, then you just use those pennies to buy more pennies. It's not like you've lost any money. You theoretically can't lose money in this endeavor.

Theoretically, no. Realistically, you'll probably get arrested.

What's the format for Sydney?

Is MDU playing?

Good luck James! Hope to see you in a feature :) What are you playing? (if constructed)
M15 Sealed.

He isn't afaik.

I'm playing the Rock in standard and UR Delver in modern.

Oooh, correction. The copper pennies are actually 3.11 grams, or 2.95 grams of copper. That translates to a copper value of just over 2 cents per penny. That's 100% profit margin!

I destroyed a BG rock player in Standard last night with Jund Walkers. He was so salty I could have sworn his tears were blue mana symbols.

I don't know that you fully understand the concept of profit...

I think I have zero standard events left.

I'd be tempted to learn Jund walkers our finish up with uw, but the truth is I'd scrimp it up with rabble red.

Of course I do.

One penny costs one penny.

One melted down old penny sells for two pennies. One hundred percent return.

It's genius.

Lets be honest, I don't think dechs is that dumb

That said, lets see if we can convince him to go through with this so we have a guy posting from federal prison

Cool. Walkers is a good deck.
It has too many cards that just win the game. I can't NOT play it at the IQ this Sunday. I also didn't realize just how complex the deck could be until last night. It's very rewarding to pull plays off like the famous Ichikawa Charm or like last night when I plussed Xenagos to make enough mana to cast another walker and play around the Syncopate I knew about.

Oh, I'm not actually going to do any of this work. That'd be absurd.

I'm writing a self help, get rich quick book. That'll sell like hotcakes.

Tom Servo tried that and never came back.

Not that that was any great loss.

...

Dechs, you should do it!

I'm glad that you're playing a real deck and stopped with the monsters cool aid.

It definitely feels half a tier above what Jund Monsters was when I was playing that deck before M15. I see no reason why anyone would play Jund Monsters post-M15.

Anyone here ever struggle with knowing how good they are? I used to know exactly how good I was but not anymore. I think that means I'm getting better but idk. Like this weekend, I felt my play was overall mediocre, but I had my best finish in a fairly stacked event (multiple platinum and gold pros along with tons of old school vets).

Lag is responsible for the destruction of Kait's ESO account. He tried to run away from a more dominant player but wasn't able to exit the dungeon in time due to lag.

All you see are Jared Boettcher clones wearing sweatpants, sandals, and dumb beanies in public.
The only thing that could possibly be under sweat pants is unwashed flesh.

My flight from Ft Lauderdale to ATL was delayed due to a mechanical problem, so I missed my connector flight which was the last of the day. On top of that, Delta offers no food vouchers and my bag is on the connector flight so I'm stuck here with no phone charger, no clothes, no toiletries, etc.

Thanks Obama!

Thats an odd thing... the implication being "red doesn't work right now". No, no... we play red "and a bunch of seasonal pet decks" seems closer to the truth.

In metas filled with UW Sphere Control, Burn is not in the best position. Most of us always have a red deck sleeved up but it isn't always the best choice. Hell, I have been experimenting with a Raka Burn deck in Modern.
