Chat probably should be for logged in users. If guests can see the chat they might not take the site seriously as a MTG-based community, especially since it's one of the first things any guest coming to the site will see.

Google preview shows the chat for a non-logged user.
[I seem to have misplaced my copy of MS Paint and I'm terrible at screenshots anyway, so go to Google, type in community.ist.utl.pt, hit search, float mouse over the double arrow to the right of the first result, view the carnage.

Book'd up. Commencing the learning of HTML5 & CSS3 for the front page. Looks pretty simple to pick up.
What should I grab next?
I will take you a while harnessing all the power of CSS.
Though if you're bold you could go with either javascript or php/sql. GR might give you a hint or two on javascript and its difficulties (I'm not familiar with the language)
Books that may help:
1. Beginning Javascript Wrox.3rd.edition.pdf
2. Haverbeke -Eloquent JavaScript, A Modern Introduction to Programming.pdf
3. Oreilly.JavaScript.The.Definitive.
Guide.6th.Edition.Apr.2011.pdf
4. Wrox - Professional Javascript For Web Developers - 2005.pdf

Az, I know you've been rooting for this, so if you are on prosilver skin (didn't had the time with the others yet) you can browse here:
http://community.ist.utl.pt/frontpage/
Mind you some links are not working yet (about and below) but all the forum links are fully functional

This is because I did not update the files for skins other than prosilver for now. You are using CA black.
During the week I will update other skins

Excellent, glad to see we're moving forward on this, bit by bit. Anything I can do?

If you want to think about the text for replacing that lorem ipsum I can add it on the fly
also, for now frontpage is in website/frontpage, but it can be the other way around (site name with frontpage, forums.sitename for forums)
I didn't progress with moving to the new domain (diestoremoval), becuse I'm still trying to figure out how to properly apply the BIND protocol. I know it can be done, but I lack the skills insofar and need to learn more about it before I succeed in changing the domain name.

Gotcha. I could scratch my brain for some appropriate place-holding text, but there won't be too much point in it until we have some of our features up and running.

No offense meant, really, but if the crew's just going to bitch every time there's spam in the open maybe you guys should just make a Spam thread I can run wild in. Naming it after
enfeeblement or some like card seems appropriate.

Who is bitching?

Shrug. Does that matter? I think the site could benefit from a visible Spam forum, reasons are irrelevant.

I think the forum could benefit from a forum before it gets a spam version.

I come before you with no small amount of humility, I assure you, as earlier I suggested that we not split Hangman to it's own subforum, but I rather like Talore's idea of a roleplaying subforum (and Yahtzee!); can I put bring a request for "Other Onsite Games" up for submission?
