We'll see.
what information do you gain from this line of play?Because I'm voting me - the only person I know for sure is town today. If you think I'm town, how come you aren't voting for me as the Judge?Aye, cursed pride is on this shit. He's town today.
This is all pretty weird to me.Cultist, what?
Oh, the faction thing?
Because, CM told me we'll all be factions eventually. We have no idea what the factions will be. From what the rules are saying, I think there's a Cartel head or two, and they'll be Town. I believe the Police are already scum and will stay that way throughout the game. I have no idea how they handled "if you attempt to recruit Scum" scenarios, though.
This is why I was hesitant to play this game. Too many unknowns in the mechanics.
Didn't read your post/s yet
Any real reason why you guys posted these after I mentioned it?

I agree with this, though.Regardless, self-voting is frowned upon in Mafia. Some mods include suicide mechanics against this.
Plus, WE don't know you're Town. If everyone insists on voting themselves to be safe, the game will go nowhere.
I get the nagging suspicion you are laying it on a bit thick here.
IGMEOY too.

I'm not trying to gain information yet. I'm just kinda here with my sharp stick, poking at bushes.what information do you gain from this line of play?
It was a longish post and I don't PEDIT ever so I was just kinda like "meh submit"Huh, taking the easy way out. Okay.

When I interpreted the mechanics, I
took the Judge as a Kingmaker/King role that could "execute" someone, with a few bells and whistles. The police at the bottom felt like the cop/priest in this setup, so I have no idea where you get the idea that the police are "always scum". I found the recruiting, plus the flavor of the cartels vs the police, as being a cult.
Can you walk me through your thought process at.. assuming the exact opposite of what I wrote? Because your assumptions are pretty darn foreign to me, and I'd like to know where you're at.
Hmm. Actually, now that I read it again, I don't think the Scum are Police. In fact, I don't think there is a definite scum team. I'd assumed, since this is Mafia, that there was one, and that, based on the name of the game and the mechanics, that it would be the Police, but that first part snuffs out that theory.Police at night can attempt to investigate a player. All successful investigations by the Police are made public and the judge will decide the fate of the player. All judge choices are also made public.
Players sent away do not count towards the number of players in a faction.
Once a majority of votes on a player are reached, that day is over and the following day the player voted will be the judge. Anyone can become a
Judge.
Cartels will attempt to recruit at night by selling drugs.
The win con for all factions is to become the majority faction.

Your play has been largely reactive so far.

I prefer not to change what I'm posting at the time. It helps me clearly show my thought process.Even when the site shows you posts that have been made since you last read and says you should probably review what was posted since then?
You still ignore them??
You should probably stop doing that in Mafia.
Where did the "Cartel Heads are probably town" came from?Hmm. Actually, now that I read it again, I don't think the Scum are Police. In fact, I don't think there is a definite scum team. So, I guess it is more cult-like.
I swear I read this, but I've slept since then.
I don't think I'm going to get anywhere with the Preview Post rabbithole. -I still think he's scum, though.Wait, why did you just
accept that response?
You don't question it's validity at all?
"I'm not planning on scumhunting, but I'll gladly speculate about the setup."Anyone.
And I agree. I'm not planning on gunning down anyone yet - not until I have a better grasp of what we're dealing with. This game is pretty odd. I'm starting to suspect - based on the "become the majority faction" global win con, that this game will have zero kills (save for maybe some random vig role) and it's going to be all about getting the most player slots under your belt in a mafia-themed game of hungry hungry hippos

Based on circumstances so far, no way would I vote Kaze for Judge."I'm not planning on scumhunting, but I'll gladly speculate about the setup."Anyone.

I'll gladly lend my vote to anyone who campaigns on a platform to oppose the Kazekirimaru bill.
-or you could vote for me
I don't understand what you're asking, but maybe this will help. The thing I'm interested in is the Judge mechanic. Voting makes a player the Judge, not setting them up for a lynch. I don't know if anyone else has played with something similar to this, but my question is when a player is made
Judge, are the choices listed in regards to themselves or toward other players?
This game is already giving me a migraine.
BUT, this is the time to do something I've always been too scared to do before:
<- unlynchable miller, discuss!
Come at me bro. How're you going to kill me? Sell me meth or something?Kaze needs to die.
Imopen needs to die.
rednihilist needs to die or is terrible.
Manders is being weird and i dont approve.
Cp is doing something.
Ill answer whatever dumb questions you have for me later today.

DEATH TO THE NONBELIEVERS
How do you get that?So rcw is in a faction, good to know
This, you concerned guy.@Kaze - does your PM indicate which faction you benefit from or are harmed by if recruited by them?
Ah, so it's a reading comprehension issue, then. This, you concerned guy.@Kaze - does your PM indicate which faction you benefit from or are harmed by if recruited by them?
