In lieu of all these childhood memories that are flooding me, I'm thinking of changing my Avatar to Darkwing Duck tonight.

"I am the terror that flaps in the night."

"Lets. Get. Dangerous."

etc.

As your lawyer, I advise you to do this.

Ugh, what a bad game. Just running around shooting stuff with spells all day? I've got Diablo II for that, thanks.

jsilv, you forgot Magic player rule number one: never trust a Magic player.

Seriously, never leave your travel plans up to other magic players.

ESPECIALLY, if they play control. Shit will never get done on time.

They'll let you do the planning but reject all your ideas.

Last time I tried to catch a ride with a Magic player he asked to playtest the night before - I beat him something like 20 games straight before he left the shop and said he'd see me in the morning. About an hour later I got a text saying that - due to a family emergency - he had to leave for the tournament that night. He never could explain what kind of family emergency makes you leave for a tournament 10 hours early.

Awesome article on manadeprived on why Z's articles are so well received, and why DtR is getting better and better. The strategy and theory section prove this. http://manadeprived.com/problem-todays- ... -articles/

Hearthstone is why I haven't played MODO in forever. Which is a shame cause there's an affinity deck waiting for me, but in hearthstone, I get to draft for free.

Well, Arena. Which is basically drafting.

Also, am I better off if I focus on one of the heroes or should I worry about unlocking them all and trying to level them up together?

Is there a max level for a hero?

Arena: Main menu, you have play above practice, above arena. Click arena>value. First one is free, after that, it's 150 gold. You start by picking a hero, then it presents you 3 cards to pack from until you hit 30 for your deck. I'd recommend googling pick orders and using either anti-gravity or trumps list to get a baseline of what cards are good in Arena(hint, all the chillwind yettis).

Heros: Whenever you get all classes to level 10, you get a reward of like, 100 gold or something. What leveling your hero does it gives you all the "core class" cards or whatever that are unobtainable otherwise. When you get past level 10, every 2 levels gets you a gold card. I believe you get all the gold cards at level 48 and after that you get golds of the neutral commons. I believe level 52 warrior gets you gold chillwind yeti. If you don't care about gold cards though, after level 10 doesn't matter.

Gold is like a foil?

Yes. And some of them DO look amazing.

Grinding and unlocking all the basic decks is a grind but it lets you play almost anything, which you can then use to grind into the dust for the deck you want to play. Think of it as getting into Modern on MODO, you start with Mono G infect and grind in.

Valuing out on Arena will also get you pretty far along. I have Arena pick rankings for each class around somewhere.

You can litterally just google anti-grav arena and get an updated pick rankings list. I'd link, but I'm at work.

Just know always pick Mage, paladin, or rogue if they're available with mage and paladin as priorities since they're the best.
