Does it have to do with your new found fame or responsibilities Zem? Maybe take a few days off from the game.

you're nearing the end of the good books, enjoy it while it lasts
although the next 5 all have good moments, nothing comes close to the first three except maybe Dumai's Wells

this is not what you asked for
I asked for a way to get Elixir of Immortality into play from my graveyard with some restrictions (Enduring Ideal active being one of them). Quest for Ancient Secrets does the same thing and it's an enchantment I could fetch with Enduring Ideal.

It shuffles it into your library, so now you need to find a way to get it into play without casting it.

My way is not good, but I was answering a Magic riddle, not trying to give a playable solution.

That is the desired outcome.

I feel like I am an incompetent loser.
"You need to understand that it doesn't matter on any given day what your results are; we have bad days, we get unlucky, we make mistakes. We're perfect in our imperfection. The only true failing is in failing to learn. Don't get too caught up in success; it is fleeting. Don't become despondent with bad luck; it too will pass. All you can do is look at what happened, look for opportunities for growth and continue on your journey. It doesn't matter what happens in any one day, only that you're on the path to improvement over time."
One if the most significant, life changing things anyone has ever said to me.

why didn't you say that then? there are several enchantments that shuffle graveyards into libraries.
how are you going to use the elixir again, out of curiosity?

or are you going to not use elixir and just keep using enchantments that shuffle your graveyard in place of elixir
worst riddle ever

Alright, so full disclosure then, it's an EDH deck. One of my win conditions is [card]Mind
over Matter[/card] +
Temple Bell. I have an Ulamog in the deck to prevent decking myself when I win this way. I want to replace the Ulamog because
Bribery is a thing. Since I could easily get stuff into my graveyard from my library and the first alternative that came to mind was Elixir of Immortality, I jumped to "How do I get that into play from my graveyard?"
The Quest suggestion made me realize I was attacking the problem all wrong. I should have started with the desired effect (reshuffling my graveyard into library), not the one way I could think to do that.
Also, Quest looks like a decent way to be able to remove someone else's graveyard if I don't need the reshuffle myself. It looks like a pretty versatile thing to have. There is the problem of getting the counters, though.

I would think that getting the counters would be easy, given the scenario you just gave.
Discarding cards with mind over matter would put the counters on it.
