Had a hilarious moment in a draft yesterday. Opponent controls a tapped [card]sphinx's disciple[/card] and I draw portent of betrayal. I know I should hold it until it grabs their blocker and lets me alpha FTW, but I couldn't let the cute interaction not happen. Grab the disciple, scry away the mountain on top of my deck and then get the inspired trigger and draw (sadly another mountain). I then don't attack with it so he wouldn't get the draw. Still lost the game, but I regret nothing.

Yes lol. Currently 3-1. Lost only to the undefeated running the Golgari Dredge Jarad deck. Still 1-2 the matched and only lost to not hitting a second white to double chain.

Just put a player on tilt. Let him take damage from his Herald of Torment out him at 8 and helix his face at combat and Boros charm my turn. "Fucking burn!" Was heard in the hall.

QP total up to 11 -- 4 more for qp's to qualify for prelim =D. I've been running 1 SBD main, 2 wear/tear, 2 fated conflag s/b w the rest very similar. I wanted to slant my s/b toward 3 matchups -- control, g/r monsters, and b/w midrange/control. Been going really well. On the draw vs g/r monsters in the 8 man I just won I curved, s/b on his t2 elf, wear/tear his courser, chains his polu and play phoenix, t4 helix, t5 sbd. Was gross. Was the best game I've played on the draw vs g/r monsters.

Thanks for all the b-day wishes. Finished 10th at the GPT so I barely missed making it into the top 8. I got a lot of praises for my deck but losing the last match when my opponent top decks three Garys in a row when I got him down to 1 life can't be helped.

Friends and I went to the casino afterward but left less than an hour after when we were all losing badly. We called it a day since we have more planned for tomorrow.

Hopefully tomorrow makes up for the shortcomings from today.

On a side note it makes me a sad panda that I'm nearly the only one testing/fixing the deck. I'd like to think I'm making the right decisions whenever I make changes but I have no one to give me second opinions.
