Aww shit, I posted in a CI thread again.

Actually it's a well behaved community because we hold users here to a higher standard than many other forums. If it were really that bad, we'd certainly have more than one disgruntled user every other month that comes to vent frustration caused by not reading rather simple forum rules.

Considering we have thousands of users online at a given time and we've been going strong since January 2005, I'd say things are just fine. When you're in the less-than-1% of users who feel there's a big issue with how the forums are run while everyone else goes about their business, it's time to re-evaluate where exactly perceived problems lie.

I felt very dirty the first time I told a user, as a mod, that "infractions are no big deal and you shouldn't let them get to you," considering I knew, for a fact, that if they went back and looked at my reaction to the first one I even saw on the site I'd be caught red-handed lying... I practically pissed my pants I was so scared.

The lying got easier, though. :S
