It's called Tribal zoo because you could easily run Tribal Flames and burn for 5.

I've heard it called Domain Zoo more often.

Friend/test partner use to run tribal/domain zoo. He won many games with Tribal Flames. He is off that deck now and is on Jund. He was never much of an aggro player and was turned off by the deck. Then again a majority of our meta was UWR control at the time so that didn't do him any favors.

FWIW PSully played Domain Zoo for awhile.

Last night I bought some Japanese Fourth Ed mountains with the Arabian Nights art so I can be more like Psully lol.

Guys (inc. Kait) do I want Dimir Charm, Ultimate Price or Doom Blade in my UB Deovtion deck?

I think I am talking myself into Dimir Charm, even if that leaves me with a much worse GR Monsters matchup.

What do the modes of charm offer you as far as match-up wise?

MBC:
kills - gray merchant, nightveil spectre, packrat (price doesn't kill spectre, does kill desecration demon; doom blade kills nothing)
counters - drown in sorrow, thoughtseize

Mono U:
kills - everything (price doesn't kill frostburn or spectre; doom blade doesn't kill spectre)

RW Devotion:
kills - all the 2 drop devotion enablers, doesn't kill reckoner (neither would UP), or stormbreath
counters - anger of the gods, mizzium mortars

They're all blank vs UWx Control

Ultimate Price and Doom Blade kill Arbor Colossus and Polukranos out of the Monsters deck

I really, really like charm's versatility. I'm leaning that way.

Is Monsters a big player/expected to be a big player in the meta?

Is SBing some number of Doom Blade absolutely out of the question?

Don't answer that last one. Sideboarding Doom Blade specifically for Monsters would probably be stupid.

I have 2 Doom Blade in the board - its excellent against Mono U, GR and RW, just hard to maindeck when you expect more MBC than anything; good rec!

I don't think Monsters will be a big player, never actually played it in paper.

I'm pretty sure Kait is going to tell you to cut the B and the Devotion from your UB Devotion deck and add White and Sphinx's Revelation.

I don't hate that. Azorius Charm is a great card too, and a big Nykthos powered Rev would be a big game. Its a much lessproactive deck though, which doesn't play to my strengths. Have you guys brewed a list at all?

You reckon he has a shot at winning this? I think Elvis Sinosic was the only decent Australian fighter in UFC.

In pure grappling he is the best in the house. Beyond that, hard to say. He's only fought in Aus and the level of competition is low here. He'd be in with a good chance overall.
