See that's what this should be like , all MTG sites help each other for the benefit of the whole community.

Now I know you guys dislike iridium but it would be beneficial to learn from them , the positive and implement it.

Dierestore should not be the known as the banned members of MTGS , it should be known as a honest and peace-loving alternative.

Sincerely, Onar
I agree wholeheartedly with this.

Onar, feel free to contact me if you need some tech assistance or some good tips for your site. We will be very pleased to help you with whatever you need.

How about this for names. We will give a "clever" name and the format in parenthesis:

Black Lotus (Vintage)
Bazaar of Baghdad (Legacy)
??? (Modern)
Island (Standard)
*Changes according to block* (Block)
Command Tower (Commander)
??? (Limited)
Shahrazad (Casual)
??? (Cube)

Note: The card names are just a suggestion

Yeah, that's how I thought it should be.

I think the idea of using land names is best, because they are places, and forums are "places", if you know what I mean.

Mishra's workshop foe vintage then, Gaea's cradle for Casual or Cube?

Misty Rainforest seems appropriate for Modern given the importance of Fetches.

Or the Mutavault

Hey Scumbag, I found this for CTs: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... 4&t=574342

Not currently being supported, though...

GR is currently developing some javascript code for improving the deck tags. We are testing it in the vphpbb3 skin for the time being, expect improved deck tags soon once this is done.

Now that we are more comfortable with html and javascript, I found this to add a favicon (the little icons on the browser tabs) to the site: http://www.w3.org/2005/10/howto-favicon

I think we can add one once we switch to the DTR domain. Actually, "DTR" in some cool looking font/effect would be the way to do it.

I think some DTR in a nice font would do wonders for a favicon

By the way, Scumbag, when do you want to switch over to the new domain? I can get that info to you pretty much anytime you like.

Bazaar is banned in legacy, and fits better with Vintage :P

Standard should absolutely be Thragtusk right now. :teach:

Vintage should be something like Mystic Remora... cards that only see play in their particular format or are indicative of that format should be given the nod, I think.

Legacy should be Brainstorm.

Modern could be Bloodbraid Elf?

Limited obv needs to be Pack Rat.

Cube could be Recurring Nightmare (banned in most other formats, only really useful in cube)

Modern should be named after a fetch (nods to kaitscralt)

fetches are too widely used in too many formats, the card should be as specific to the format as possible

Not sure what to do for Standard
Island
More like Ban Island

Still think it should be lands

For type 2, you cats could call it "Island", lol. Though a lot of decks aren't even running basics...
Maybe, "Turning creatures sideways", as many believe this is the only sound strategy is t2.

This. Lands are places. Forums are places to post.

I don't like lands at all - figuring out a notable land for each format is too difficult, and the lands won't even be very notable in that format (cube land?).

By limiting it to just lands, you actually just increase the time its going to take the average user to figure out whats going on...

How?

Island is always good in Standard, Misty Rainforest will always be good in Modern, Wasteland will always be good in Legacy, Bazaar in Vintage, and any good land in EDH.

Cube... well I don't play Cube so what do I know?

Wasteland and Bazaar are the only ones that, I feel, are "tied to" their formats enough to be instantly recognizable.

Standard and Modern would be much better served with a better choice of card (I'm having trouble finding the word I'm looking for to describe what I mean...)

Gaea's cradle for Casual or Cube, I had thought about Mutavault for Modern, but Misty is good as well. Island represents Standard pretty well.

City of Brass for Commander? Homeward Path?

Block and Limited can change depending on rotations.

The idea of forums==lands does make much more sense flavor-wise, even if the choice can be though.

Command tower seems like a no-brainer for Commander

Oh duh silly me.

So:

Island (Standard)
Misty Rainforest/Mutavault (Modern)
Wasteland (Legacy)
Bazaar of Baghdad (Vintage)
Shockland #1 (?) (Block)
Shockland #2 (?) (Limited)
Gaea's Cradle (Casual)
City of Brass/Terramorphic Expanse/Evolving Wilds (?) (Cube)
Command Tower (EDH/Commander)

I like it. I might have made some of them with a 'The', but either is fine. The Island, etc.

I think it does add a lot to the forums, I like it much more than I thought I would. I also think Maze of Ith would be a better cube representative
