Hunh. Got my replies back from Stardust. This might be the greatest game setup of all time. I'm hella curious what the mafia have up their sleeves though.

Like, he's not exactly hiding the fact that he's skimming the thread and doesn't care to read stuff and is fine with making simplistic cases. He's been pretty blatant and openly unapologetic about it, actually. Doesn't mean I'm clearing him on the strength of that b/c it IS pretty anti-town, but it's not at all incompatible with him being town.

Hmm, maybe you're town after all? Or do you just think G_R's is an easier wagon than mine? Either way, I won't be hammering G_R until we at least get the RVS vote off the wagon.

I haven't got anything to say right now.
You've been very aggressive and took the spotlight, but I don't really feel like it led to anything good as it made people go overly defensive / disinterested.
Now we've also got this CM issue that will probably make this the most boring game 1 ever.

want to jump all over this if I'm just seeing something that's not there, but is anyone else bothered by the emphasized part? I spent a day thinking about this and I'm just not comfortable with the reaction here. I can't say there's anything wrong with it, but it just doesn't feel like an honest town reaction.

In the quote, Az is just pointing out how openly anti-town Imopen has been, but then concludes that Imopen could still be town. It reads like a veiled accusation and yet Imopen's first reaction is "maybe you're town after all." Why? Why now? What about Az's quote would lead Imopen to think that Az was town?

Or is this just a reaction in the mindset of scum? "Crap, he's on to me, I better disarm him and play nice."

His initial reaction against me was based on my some random negative
comment I made about him early on, IIRC. One of my RVS comments, maybe? So now that it looks to him like I've got a nuanced viewpoint on him and I'm not leaping to kill him off, he's feeling better about me.

It's a pretty common and natural townie reaction. It's not good logic or procedure, but you see it all the time.

Not quite. He went from "he didn't understand the town role..." which was his only apparent reason for wanting you hanged to "Hmmm, maybe you're town after all" when you basically accuse him of being anti-town.

That's what bothers me. You never addressed his reasons for voting you, yet suddenly thinks you're town because you said he's not playing in town's best interest.

I thought it was odd when I read it as well. I'm not sure why, though, I'

Whenever someone tells me that I'm town, I become suspicious of them
immediately. I don't know if telling a townie that he's town is a scummy way of buddying, but this feels that way to me.

Scum always knows who's town in a single mafia team setup, so these D1 town reads feel suspicious.

Pieces of Cloud Cuckoo Land are sinking past the windows as you travel safely along in your Lego Submarine. Well, safely enough until the sub starts leaking.

"Quick! Everyone get inside!" cries Emmet as he climbs into the double-decker couch. You quickly shut the lid over your cramped little cooler as the ocean's currents rock the sofa back and forth until finally you feel the couch break the surface. Cautiously, you lift the lid on the cooler and take a look around. It worked! You made it! You're safe! All of you are totally, 100%, absolutely, positively without a doubt - Oh. Right. Except Captain Murphy. It seems in his haste he closed the lid a bit too quickly and popped his head clean off! You all take a look around, and paddle your way towards a head floating nearby.

"Ah, that's better," says rezombad as you attach the head to Captain Murphy's body. Meh, close enough.
