Finally set up OBS properly. Playing with the audio on the mic. For ventrillo, I remember having to Mic boost the hell out of it but OBS didn't need that and it left a little static. So cleaning that up now. I doubt I'm actually going to host/stream since I do this so rarely

Note to self, do not set end recording to f6 and then use f6 to avoid stops in MTGO. Had a game vs dredge I enjoyed "recording" until I noticed I stopped 2 minutes in. Sound was good at least. Also hid my awesome play of "oh, I'll discard phoenix because what can he do about it" with DRS in play. Derp. Still won game 3 but oye.
Ok, so if I did stream, do you guys recommend twitch or youtube? It seems each has their preference. I'm not getting money out of youtube for sure.

If you don't care about money (its not much btw) then I recommend twitch - its easier imo to get views.
Navigating youtube is seriously painful so it would be hard to get random people to notice you (if your streaming live).

Ok, I'll give it a try. I'm mostly only interested in doing it for the d2r folks and honestly I'm lucky if I get a DE in once a week but it'll be nice to go back and view my play. Did record round 4 vs a burn player who threw the game away twice which was nice. I couldn't upload the file to twitch so I'm just going to photobucket this one and post it when it's done.
Ok, I did something that made the video a bit too dark to do it that way but I'll at least have it set up for Twitch properly next time. Not sure what I did to corrupt the video, oh well.
Well, good news is after the 4-0 I'm down 2 tickets but up two Chandra's. Finally tweaking the budget sideboard into something better.
Also, listening back through the video, apparently I'm a real dick when talking to myself. I called him a honky? Who does that? I'm going to blame it on being upset at getting 8+ lands twice.
Nah, I think I'
m just a jerk
I need to work on that

8 mans should be 5 journey for first 2 weeks.
Are you 100% on this? If you are I'll blow my bank farming boosters and then sell them all on Week 1.5.

To our extraordinary limited players (yes Imopen2 and Kait, I am talking to you mainly). I have limited GP in 2 weeks in my hometown, want to get to day 2. Not really a limited player so I really am looking for some of your opinions about format and potential discuss of limited pools. I would like to start with sealed and then move to drafts if possible.
I posted in limited section of our forum. Hope you guys can help me out !

I should have 4-0'd with my pool yesterday but I played too aggressive and lost game 1 round 3 because of it.

Finally got that video uploaded on Twitch properly after more attempts than I want to admit to format it and fix the brightness. Now for me to stop being such a raving asshole. I'm pretty sure there were several parts in that I misplayed and I lucked out and my opponent just misplayed a whole lot more.

Thanks for posting, I enjoyed these

Please can you turn off games sounds if you do anymore they're louder than you
- G1 I'd have dropped the ToT T1 to scry away any more land. I don't know if this is correct or not though, be interested to hear what everyone else thinks.

Good point. I can disable computer sounds the next time. Maybe I'll get around to getting a music soundtrack up at some point but generally I'm music light.
Yeah, I should have just chain dropped the temples to avoid grabbing any more lands because I clearly needed spells. Frankly I was just hoping I wouldn't chain draw them which was dumb. Scry 1 would have blanked a temple, scry two would have been the helix and I still would have drawn the 4th temple that way though and still died with YP in hand scrying down a mountain I think. I couldn't do anything about the land flood game 2 because I needed to sequence my starting lands that way for the mutavault swing and trouble. I think my one scry land bottomed a land anyway, it was silly.
I think I actually misplayed several times that match, it's just he misplayed a whole ton more. Would you have swung the mutavaults into removal game 2? It felt right at the time but
now I think it was wrong. The searing blood forced me into the position of sacrificing the second vault which left me in no position to properly crack back, not that I think it was ever effectively coming at that point because he started flooding himself.

I just typed out an analysis of that game 1 in the burn thread. Turns out I could have won that if certain things went my way. Huh.

Advice on Redemtion

Hey Guys,
So, what's your strategy for managing MTGO cards? I've got a bunch cards (~16,000) starting from 7e onward, including a complete playset of Dark Ascension. Thoughts on redemtion?
Do you guys typically just keep what you're playing? Do you ever redeem? Do you try to collect playsets?
I've got a few promo cards (nothing fancy). Do you typically hang on to them or sell them off?
Going into JOU, I'm thinking about focusing more on standard, and trying to be more cost efficient at getting as many different deck archetypes to play and understand.
Thoughts? tia

How do I manage my cards? Thoughts on redemtion? I sell anything which I won't use in eternal formats (though I've made made mistakes in judging this....), I never redeemed a set before but it sounds like good value because sets tend to worth more IRL (unless its a good set)
Do you guys typically just keep what you're playing? Do you ever redeem? Do you try to collect playsets? Yes, but I try to keep anything I may play later or will have value in an eternal format, No and NO
I've got a few promo cards (nothing fancy). Do you typically hang on to them or sell them off? Promo cards go up in value (very slowly.....) so I hold em until a rainy day.

I could sell the whole wad for ~140 tix, or I could wait. Help me decide! I LACK DISCIPLINE!

Same I can't even bother starting up MTGO since I have a HUGE stock pile (not as much as pedros but fairly big) I'm gonna wait till JOU becomes the payout boosters (which will take awhile)....

No information about MOCS6's promo card yet BUT!!! they're finally testing for a solution with the
0-Tix + Free Promo card event its a shame the promo card is horrible so I doubt many people will enter....
EDIT: The events and prizes are amazing, see them

Cool idea from Wizards, freebies will get lots of people in to pressure test the infrastructure.
The Shadowmoor sealed looks interesting. It doesn't say Phantom, and the 6 boosters aren't listed as an entry option. Are they really giving out 6 boosters on demand for free? Seems like a typo, otherwise Fulminator Mage is about to tank in price.

UR Twin is by far the better deck, Tron is easier to play though.

Following some threads on DtR convinced me to make the jump to MTGO recently, I'd appreciate a clan invite.
After making such brilliant plays as animating summoning sick mutavaults and completely skipping combat phases, I think I'm adjusted to the mechanics at least.

I've yet to actually do it but how does everyone prevent accidently doing this when you have to play a second mutavault for the mana to activate the first. Is the top land on the pile always the newest one played?
