it was contained to the basement. if i hadn't been without power for so long i'd have been just about fine.

Yeah, losing all your fridge food is kinda bad afaik.

Take Solace in the fact that you lost power in the summer solstice instead of the winter one.

I'm the type to blast AC on me point blank while a fan hits me from the other direction, so losing the power was pretty rough

my dad has a large old-school pokemon TCG collection he would like to sell; complete sets of the first bunch, not much past the Team Rocket sets. anyone here interested? Any suggestions on how to actually get the most value out of it?

ebay?

Posted: Tue Jul 16, 2013 5:54 pm
by Checkbox
that's obviously an option, but I know some people around here still play the game and I didn't know if they wanted it or knew someone who wanted it, because obviously multi-hundred dollar collections are better without ebay fees being subtracted from them

Depends on how much and how quickly

FYI, homeowners insurance is the literal awesomeness

I'm getting my entire house cleaned and all my laundry done as well as new carpeting amongst other things
This just reminded me I never got homeowner's insurance.

Now I'm afraid of meteors falling from the sky and shit.

I've almost thrown the damn thing across the room like seventeen times out of frustration already but that's part of the experience.

Just the other day I had to stop the Zero-turn 4-blade for a tiny garden snake who heard me coming and decided to enter fighting stance instead of slithering away. It was like an adorable version of Tienamen Square.

I can't bring myself to play no-death mode even though it would save me a lot of frustration. Just wouldn't be in the spirit of the series to me.

I've never played any of the Shin Megami Tensei series but I've heard good things about it.
