I'm Pendulum, and I got wrangled into writing this. That doesn't put me in charge or anything, though. All it means is that I have spent a long time trying to put into words the desires of this clan, the gossamer goals that each of our founding members shares and that we hope others will find enjoyable enough to join in for.

I must say, and perhaps apropos of my username, I find it both inexplicably strange and yet equally inexplicably correct that this clan should come into existence. Strange because when I first washed ashore on this website I found a place so casual and freeing to post in that
I look back on that now and think it is just greedy of me to want a place yet more casual; correct because as the site grows so do these freedoms. That last bit, where new users do what they wish and we all get along regardless, always makes me smile, even if I am likewise completely shocked it's working. It has been unmistakably like exploring uncharted territory only to find out that the monsters that were supposed to be here were nothing more than the product of our fears.
So I found this clan, and I do it proudly, in the name of all of those who wish to speak. Not just blather, or gutter, or grr (though of course we might do those as well), but simply talk however we want, post whatever we want. We need no more distinction than that. No leaders, no privileges, no defenses. This website has shown us that we can be trusted to hold our own, safely ignored, because if there do so happen to be boogeymen in the dark we are most certainly more powerful than they.
