also i'd like to know what the deal is with these god cards because i thought that's why we had planeswalkers and tarmogoyf didn't predict them so i don't consider them real until that happens

didn't yu-gi-oh have god cards?

I loved UG Shackles, won so many games grinding people down with a ste because they were afraid I'd just drop a Shackles and take their blocker.

I never played with it (in my casual world). I was introduced to the game before 6th Ed. and by the time I picked up a rule book once again, we were already at M10

i disagree but it is very good and the nuances between it and other spells is not worth arguing except in the case of actual broken cards.

it's funny because removing damage from the stack makes combat infinitely more complex and makes more spells playable.

damage on the stack was a cruise-control effect and merely allowed you to cheat players out of the game when pitted against those who weren't aware of it.

I remember this one guy who hung out at my work tried to build a deck attempting to cheat out a Strossus, but it just wasn't viable for the meta; we all kept yelling at him to just stahp but he dumped hundreds into trying to make it work.
